The first episodes of the TV series Us of 8 Years Later have just aired on VTV3, after the series Black Pharma ended. The series received good feedback when it brought viewers back to the dreamy and memorable youth, where the main characters had a time of love and living life to the fullest.

Tran Nghia returns to the small screen in the movie "Us 8 years later".

The first episodes introduce the four main characters Duong (Hoang Ha), Lam (Quoc Anh), Tung (Tran Nghia), Nguyet (Hoang Huyen) as well as their chance encounters. During a trip to the beach, the four young people accidentally met each other after a series of funny and sad situations. In their twenties, they quickly became close, fell in love, and created bright, youthful, and humorous stories.

The contrasting personalities of the characters bring a lot of fun to the film. While Duong is lively and mischievous, Nguyet is somewhat timid and shy. The character Lam is quiet and reserved, while his best friend - Tung is nicknamed "crazy", talks a lot and is not afraid to say... nonsense.

Us 8 years later also marks the return of Tran Nghia after 3 years of absence from television. Once a phenomenon of the screen with the character Ngan in Mat biec , Tran Nghia was highly appreciated by many viewers for his acting ability.

Taking on the role of the “crazy” and flirtatious Tung, Tran Nghia has almost completely “transformed”. He acts naturally and flexibly, becoming the “center of laughter” in the first episodes.

Tran Nghia received many compliments for his natural and gentle acting.

On many film forums, audiences left positive comments about Tran Nghia's role as well as the cast in the film: "A film with a new cast, bringing a fresh and pure atmosphere. Tran Nghia's performance surprised me"; "If Gia Ngan had been as smooth-talking in the past, he probably wouldn't have lost Ha Lan"; "The film is light-hearted and humorous, I really like the couple Tung and Duong" - some comments .

Sharing about the film, Tran Nghia said: " When I was invited to participate in the project, director Bui Tien Huy was also quite worried about whether I could do this character well or not. Because he had not had much contact with me, he was also worried that I was only suitable for gentle, kind roles like Ngan in Mat Biec. At the first test to choose the role, he said: "I still don't see this character very clearly."

Hearing him say that, I was not discouraged but tried harder to change myself. Gradually, Huy himself confirmed that I had created the character's qualities, putting my own mark on the role. In fact, not only in this project, but also in previous projects, each of my characters is different from the previous character and is not the person I am in real life. I am someone who likes new experiences."

For Tran Nghia, the difference in each role attracts him strongly.

Having played the main role in many films, Tran Nghia said he did not mind that he played a supporting role, next to Lam (Quoc Anh) in the film: “What I aim for is that I will not be framed into a character color or personality. When watching my role in Us of 8 Years Later, the audience will no longer recognize the previous role. For example, the role of Long in Jackpot Island (2022) is completely different from the role of Ngan in Mac Biec (2019) - that is something that many people who go to the cinema to watch the film acknowledge.”

For Tran Nghia, the difference in each role attracts him strongly. “Up until now, I have always wanted to find roles with new colors to have the opportunity to explore myself and make my life more interesting.” – the actor shared.

Tran Nghia graduated from Hanoi University of Theatre and Cinema. He has participated in the films Yen's Life, the TV series Chieu Ngang Qua Pho Cu, Lang Yen Dau Au Sau. The role that made him most known to the public was teacher Ngan in the film Mat Biec released in 2019.
