The appearance of young faces with natural, engaging acting helps the film score points, leaving a special mark compared to previous works broadcast during VTV's prime time.

While the three characters Duong - Nguyet - Lam received many compliments for their cuteness and sincerity, the role of Tung (Tran Nghia) received a lot of criticism because of the character's personality.

In particular, after episode 12, when Tung was caught red-handed having an affair, the wave of "anger" towards the actor spread even more strongly.

Many audiences are upset with Tran Nghia's new role.

“As soon as I held the script, I saw that the character Tung revealed some somewhat “silly” personality traits. He was smooth-talking, talked a lot, and immediately flirted with women. It was understandable that Tung had an affair afterwards. Of course, that would make the audience dislike him, even upset. Even in real life, such a man is not loved by many people.”

Tran Nghia played the role of teacher Ngan in "Mat biec".

The character Tung has a personality that is completely opposite to Tran Nghia in real life, as well as completely different from his previous role as the shy, loyal teacher Ngan in Mat Biec .

Because of that, Tran Nghia had to make a lot of effort to change himself to "transform" and transform into the role: " I tried again and again, practicing so that the audience would no longer remember Ngan or Tran Nghia, but only see Tung, a truly hateful character.

After more than 10 episodes, many viewers texted me that they could no longer see Ngan anywhere, only seeing an unpleasant person from his gestures, the way he walked and talked.

"Seeing everyone hate Tung, I suddenly feel very happy."

Reading the comments expressing the audience's hatred for the character Tung, Tran Nghia was not sad but considered this a success.

He said: "Seeing everyone hate Tung, I am naturally very happy. Up until now, the audience has always sympathized with the characters I have portrayed. However, I do not want to be confined to a character's color or personality, but only hope that the next role will not be mixed with the previous role. As an artist, I always want to be interesting, not boring and repetitive."

Tran Nghia asserts that he is completely different from the character Tung: “When entering a love story, the most important thing is to put all your feelings into it. Love is something that lovers can easily understand and feel, without needing to be embellished or smeared.”

After Us of 8 Years Later , Tran Nghia continues to participate in a film project, scheduled to premiere in 2024.

He affirmed that it continues to be a new and interesting "transformation" compared to his previous characters.
