The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over the issuance of instructions or advise competent authorities to issue regulations and instructions on design and specialized technical standards for charging stations and to connect the charging station system to the power grid, reporting the results before November 30.

The Departments of Construction, Transport, Industry and Trade and Ho Chi Minh City Police are assigned to review, propose amendments, supplements and complete the system of legal documents on fire prevention and fighting safety for electrical traffic infrastructure works.

Ho Chi Minh City is developing a large-scale green transport development project, with the expectation of "greening" buses from now until 2030. It is expected that this project will be submitted to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council for approval at the meeting next December.

To achieve the above goal, the Department of Transport calculates that in the period of 2025-2030, Ho Chi Minh City needs more than 34,000 billion VND to convert from buses using fossil energy to electric buses using green energy.

Ho Chi Minh City plans to invest in over 25 locations with 269 480kW charging posts, 4 charging devices/post. The total estimated investment, operation and maintenance cost in the 2025-2030 period to convert to electric buses is over 2,000 billion VND.
