Ngoi Hoa Bay is a highlight in the core area of Hoa Binh Lake tourist area, likened to "Ha Long on land" or "a hidden gem on the mountain".
According to locals, Ngoi Hoa Bay has a unique location because it is located on a high mountain, in a lake. The bay is vast and the water is clear. Here, the scenery is diverse, the climate is cool and fresh.
People take advantage of the land around the bay to grow trees such as acacia, bamboo, and bương, and also make many fruit gardens such as melon, papaya, banana, gourd, squash, etc., contributing to making the bay's landscape more vibrant and green.
Ngoi Hoa Bay is considered one of the most beautiful bays of Hoa Binh Lake - the largest artificial lake in Vietnam.

Mr. Quang Tuyen (born in 1994, freelance photographer, currently living and working in Hanoi) had the opportunity to visit Ngoi Hoa Bay during a 2-day, 1-night tour to Hoa Binh before Lunar New Year.
In his opinion, Ngoi Hoa Bay possesses poetic natural scenery, fresh air and many unique outdoor activities.
“Here, visitors can experience boating, rafting or kayaking, admiring the scenery around the bay,” Mr. Tuyen shared.
Tourists experience sightseeing boat rides, conquering high mountains, cycling around the bay...
The young man suggested that when coming to Ngoi Hoa Bay, tourists can combine exploring some other interesting destinations such as Thac Bo Cave, Thac Bo Temple, Coconut Island, Windmill Island, Go Lao Waterfall... or further away, Dragon Eye Lake, Buffalo Valley...
Visitors should not forget to experience the unique culture of the Muong people such as traditional stilt houses, ethnic costumes, folk art forms such as lullabies, the Mường set, Muong gongs and enjoy delicious dishes and specialties such as grilled local pork, lake fish, hill chicken, and wild bamboo shoots.
Tourists come to Ngoi Hoa Bay, combine trekking, view Dragon Eye Lake from above, explore the pristine cave system or hike through Muong villages, cycle along the Song Da Hydroelectric Reservoir
