Ho Chi Minh City accepts applications for additional 10th grade enrollment from July 22

According to the official announcement on additional enrollment for grade 10 in 2024 by the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the subjects eligible to participate in additional enrollment for grade 10 are:

Students who do not pass any of their admission wishes to public high schools and must have entrance exam scores of 3 subjects: Math + Literature + Foreign Language + Priority Points (if any) greater than or equal to the admission standard score of the 3rd wish of the public high school they want to apply for.

For students who have studied at secondary schools in the areas of Can Gio, Nha Be, Binh Chanh, Hoc Mon, Cu Chi and Thu Duc city, if they register for schools in the same area as the secondary school:

The candidate's total entrance exam score is considered according to the standard score of the first choice of the public high school they want to apply for.

In which, Thu Duc city is divided into 3 areas, in which KV1 includes schools in the old District 2, KV2 includes schools in the old District 9 and KV3 includes schools in the old Thu Duc district.

Each student can only register for additional enrollment at 1 public high school that has not yet met its assigned enrollment quota and cannot change schools after submitting the additional enrollment registration application.

Students wishing to enroll additional students must submit their application directly to the high school, including the 10th grade entrance exam score report issued by the middle school and stamped with a red seal.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the department will announce the list of high schools organizing additional enrollment and the enrollment quotas of each school on the city's enrollment page at https://ts10.hcm.edu.vn. The announcement time is no later than 5:00 p.m. on July 21, 2024.

From 22:00 to 17:00 on July 27, 2024: High schools will receive applications for additional enrollment. August 6, 2024: Announce the list of additional successful candidates.

Additional recruitment for specialized 10th grade: Students must take an entrance exam

Regarding the additional recruitment of specialized 10th graders, the department said that it will only carry out this work after the end of the first semester of grade 10 in the 2024-2025 school year. Students must take the additional recruitment exam for specialized 10th graders according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Ho Chi Minh City will enroll more than 77,000 students in grade 10 public high schools. This is the second year that Ho Chi Minh City has recruited additional students into grade 10, in order to create more opportunities for students to study in public schools. In the 2023-2024 school year, through the additional grade 10 recruitment, an additional 1,014 students were admitted to public high schools in Ho Chi Minh City.

Previously, the department also announced the recruitment of 166 additional integrated grade 10 positions at 9 public high schools that organize this type of teaching.
