On February 11, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee announced that it had issued a plan for admission to grade 10 high school for the 2025-2026 school year in the province. Accordingly, admission to grade 10 at public high schools will be conducted by examination. The entrance exam schedule for grade 10 in Dak Lak is expected to take place on June 5 and 6, 2025.

The third exam is foreign language.

According to Mr. Do Tuong Hiep, Deputy Director of the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training, the content of the entrance exam for grade 10 this year is within the general education program for junior high school, mainly grade 9 according to the exam structure issued by the Department of Education and Training. The common exam subjects for all candidates include: Math, literature and the third subject is foreign language (English, French). For students registering for the exam at Nguyen Du High School for the Gifted, in addition to the common exam subjects, students register for an additional specialized exam subject from the following subjects: Literature, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Information Technology, History, Geography, English, French.

For private high schools, Boarding Ethnic Minority High Schools, Cao Nguyen Practical High School, Sports Training and Competition Center: Develop a separate enrollment plan based on the enrollment plan of the Provincial People's Committee, submit to the Department of Education and Training for approval.

Regarding enrollment area, Nguyen Du High School for the Gifted recruits students residing or graduating from junior high school in the entire province.

N'Trang Long Ethnic Minority High School (Buon Ma Thuot City) recruits students residing in the districts of Buon Don, Cu Kuin, Krong Ana, Krong Bong, Krong Pak, Lak, Ea Sup, Buon Ma Thuot City.

Dam San Ethnic Minority High School (Buon Ho Town) recruits students residing in the districts of Cu M'gar, Ea H'leo, Krong Buk, Krong Nang, M'Drak, Ea Kar, Buon Ho Town.

Public high schools in Krong Pak, Krong Nang, Krong Ana, Cu M'gar, Ea H'leo, Ea Kar districts, Buon Ho town, Buon Ma Thuot city enroll students residing or graduating from junior high school in the district or according to the district People's Committee's zoning.

Public high schools in the districts of Krong Bong, Lak, M'Drak, Buon Don, Cu Kuin, Ea Sup, and Krong Buk are only allowed to enroll students residing or graduating from junior high school in the area according to the zoning of the district-level People's Committee.

Students wishing to study at a school in the border area between two districts must have the approval of the People's Committees of the two districts.

Admission quota and conditions for direct admission to grade 10

Regarding enrollment targets, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee noted that public high schools must enroll students according to the targets set by the Department of Education and Training. N'Trang Long Ethnic Minority High School and Dam San Ethnic Minority High School are allowed to enroll 65% of local ethnic minority students (Ede, Mnong, Gia Rai), and 35% of other ethnic groups (of which no more than 10% of Kinh students are recruited in the total annual enrollment target).

Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee also stipulates that students who are directly admitted to public high schools according to the zoning at the district level include: students from ethnic minority secondary schools in districts, towns, and cities who have graduated from secondary schools; students from very small ethnic minorities; students with disabilities; secondary school students who have won national awards organized by the Ministry of Education and Training or in coordination with ministries and ministerial-level agencies nationwide... Students eligible for direct admission can register for the entrance exam. If they do not pass, they will be considered for direct admission to schools according to the enrollment area.
