More than 12,000 athletes will participate in VnExpress Marathon Hue 2025

On the afternoon of April 3, a press conference was held in Hue City for the VnExpress Marathon Hue 2025. At the press conference, the organizers said that the race is a special sporting event, not only attracting athletes to participate but also an opportunity to promote Hue tourism in the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025. The record number of registrations of up to 12,000 athletes is a great success, demonstrating the attractiveness of this event and the importance of Hue as a tourist destination.

Accordingly, in addition to being a professional race, VnExpress Marathon Hue 2025 also brings unique experiences to participants when they have the opportunity to explore the beauty of the ancient capital through running routes passing through historical relics and unique cultural works. This not only helps to enhance the value of sports but also promotes the tourism industry, especially in the context of Hue trying to build a sustainable tourism brand in the coming years.

The race schedule takes place over 3 days, from April 4 to 6, 2025. During the first two days, the Organizing Committee will open an area to distribute Bibs and items to athletes. In addition, booths at the Expo area will also bring unique experiences to runners throughout the event days. April 6 is the official race day with 4 distances of 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km. The Full Marathon distance (42km) will start first at 3am, the 21km distance will start at 4am, the 10km and 5km distances will start at 6am and 6:30am respectively.

The starting point of this year’s race is on Le Duan Street, Phu Van Lau area. Runners of the 5km, 10km and 21km distances will finish on Le Duan Street, at the intersection of Nguyen Trai Street (Nha Do Gate). Runners of the 42km will finish on To Huu Street, opposite the Hue City Sports Center.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee affirmed that VnExpress Marathon Hue 2025 is an important event, not only providing an opportunity to promote the tourism industry but also highlighting the image of the ancient capital to domestic and foreign friends. Organizing sporting events like this helps attract a large number of tourists, while also creating conditions for the development of local services, from accommodation to entertainment and cultural activities on the sidelines.
