On the morning of May 23, the Center for Application of Science and Technology Advances (Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City) held a conference to share problems on improving productivity, quality and efficiency of teaching and learning management activities in Ho Chi Minh City.

This is one of many networking activities within the competition "Searching for innovative solutions in the public sector in 2024 - Saigon Govtech Challenge 2024" (Gov.Star 2024) of the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City.

Public sector agencies and units can present their problems to the innovative startup community, so that the community can propose solutions that are appropriate to this problem, through the Gov.Star 2024 competition.

At the conference on the morning of May 23, Mr. Ho Tan Minh, Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, raised 3 major problems that the Ho Chi Minh City education sector hopes to receive technological solutions from the innovative startup community.

The first is the problem of solutions for the management system. Mr. Minh said that currently, Ho Chi Minh City has more than 200 high schools, more than 280 middle schools, 500 primary schools, about 1,800 kindergartens and groups of classes.

Due to such a "huge" number, the problem of building reports and statistics on related content when implementing projects, plans and tasks is not small, taking a lot of effort and time.

The Ho Chi Minh City education sector wants to find a technology solution that can easily synthesize and retrieve data, as well as create a data sharing system used in education for the city.

The second is the topic of open mass online course solutions according to the task of building a learning society assigned by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

Specifically, the Ho Chi Minh City education sector wants to find a technology solution for an online learning platform, which has a lot of content for learners of all ages, especially for workers who want to change careers. The content of the technology platform's courses can be combined with universities and colleges.

The third is to "order" virtual assistant technology solutions to support people in administrative reform. Mr. Minh said that currently, the demand for information about education among Ho Chi Minh City residents is very large. The Ho Chi Minh City education sector wants to have a platform that can answer online questions and concerns of people.

For example, parents who want to find a high school that teaches an integrated English program, or a computer center that trains according to international standards... can all find clear, detailed answers on this technology platform.
