Jeff Grinspoon and Jon Thomas Foley - two millionaires in the American financial and real estate sectors - recently had a journey to explore Vietnam from North to South, with experiences like true Vietnamese people.

These experiences are all specially designed by All Asia Vacation (AAV), a travel company that has welcomed many super-rich guests to Vietnam.

Millionaires are also rustic and simple

During the 17-day journey, the two millionaires had rustic experiences in Hanoi, Ha Giang, Ha Long (Quang Ninh), Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An and ended in Ho Chi Minh City.

AAV CEO Nguyen Duc Hanh said that in Hanoi, the two millionaires chose to go to traditional markets and learn to cook with locals. The two markets they chose to explore were Dong Xuan Market and Chau Long Market. Chau Long Market left a strong impression on them because of its local atmosphere. They tried banh cuon at the market and bought some ingredients to bring to the cooking class with locals.

Bat Trang was their destination on the second day in Vietnam. Here, they enjoyed a traditional feast, especially Bat Trang’s unique squid and bamboo shoot soup. And another indispensable experience was learning about pottery making.

On the third day of the journey, they took a helicopter to Ha Giang , allowing them to admire the majestic beauty of the mountains and forests of the Northwest and Northeast of Vietnam.

The final destination of the two millionaires in the North was Ha Long (Quang Ninh) and they were also the second group of guests to experience the tour for the super-rich on the bay, jointly organized by Quang Ninh province and AAV.

On this journey, guests explored the pristine sandy beaches, almost untouched by human footprints, fully enjoying the pristine and peaceful beauty of nature. The experiences took place in the Cong Do and Tra San areas, kayaking to see the bay, visiting Ba Ham Lake, Tien Ong Cave, and Cua Van fishing village.

The journey to explore Vietnam continued in Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam. A representative of the tour provider revealed that the two millionaires had a day of experience as farmers in a vegetable village about 30 minutes away from Hoi An ancient town, which still retains the originality and purity of the Central countryside. They planted vegetables with the locals, dug the soil, and fed the cows and pigs themselves.

Rustic travel experiences are always loved by foreign tourists because of the new feeling, things they can no longer see in developed countries.

The two millionaires also enjoy a peaceful life on the coastal road in Hue. They cycle together on the road about 30km, relaxing, breathing in the fresh air of the land and sky.

During their last days in Vietnam, the two guests immersed themselves in the hustle and bustle of life in Ho Chi Minh City.

Privacy and absolute security required

Mr. Hanh said that to have such a trip, AAV spent nearly a year researching and building a unique experience scenario, not overlapping with any previous journey.

The journey of two millionaires Jeff Grinspoon and Jon Thomas Foley is planned from July 2024. They require the trip to be deeply personal, and safety must be a top priority.

The most difficult thing when scheduling a tour is that customers want to have a local experience, not mass tourism, but still ensure they enjoy classy and luxurious resort services "luxury meets local".

According to Mr. Hanh, Vietnam has many advantages to attract super-rich tourists such as being a safe destination, having a long cultural history, rich cuisine and friendly people.

However, to attract this special customer group, Vietnam needs to improve its infrastructure, visa policies and direct flights. It is possible to apply a separate, specific mechanism to welcome this group of customers.

Mr. Jeff Grinspoon and Mr. John Thomas Foley are American millionaires in the fields of finance and real estate. They came to Vietnam both to travel and to seek investment opportunities in the fields of footwear production and real estate.

This is also the first group of millionaires and billionaires from around the world to come to Quang Ninh in a special tour program for super-luxury guests.
