The recruitment of teachers for the 2023-2024 school year of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will take place in June 2023.
Accordingly, based on the approval decision of the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the results of recruiting city civil servants from excellent students and young scientists in 2023, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has announced the results of teacher recruitment in 2023.
Specifically, two excellent students majoring in Mathematics and English were admitted directly to the position of high school teacher. With the above results, the two successful candidates will complete their recruitment documents within 30 days, after which the Department of Education and Training will assign them to their positions.
It is known that this is the first time the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has directly recruited teachers from excellent graduates and young scientists. It is known that the total demand for recruiting civil servants in public educational units from excellent graduates is 43 targets in pedagogical majors: information technology, English, music, fine arts, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, literature, history, geography, physical education, national defense and security education.
According to an officer in charge of personnel organization of the Department of Education and Training, the number of candidates eligible for admission under this policy is still limited due to many regulations. For example, a candidate who graduated from university with excellent grades but failed just one semester will fail the preliminary round. In addition, during high school, the candidate must have good academic performance, winning third prize or higher in provincial and national excellent student competitions, etc.
Mr. Tong Phuoc Loc, Head of the Department of Personnel Organization of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, said that after the results of the teacher recruitment exam are available, the Department of Education and Training will review and assign successful candidates to supplement schools that are lacking teachers after the teacher recruitment for the 2023-2024 school year. At the same time, it will assign appropriate training to the city's excellent student team to participate in national and international competitions.
The person in charge of teacher recruitment at the Department of Education and Training emphasized that the assignment of successful candidates to public service units will be considered and calculated to suit the conditions of the candidates, the needs of the receiving unit as well as the conditions for the successful candidates to develop their capacity in actual teaching.
