The Ministry of Transport (MOT) has just announced a plan to conduct a general inspection of state management of automobile transport business activities of the Department of Transport in all provinces and cities across the country.
Specifically, Inspection Team No. 1 will be chaired by the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Transport, and will inspect at the Departments of Transport: Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien - Hue, Tay Ninh, Long An, Tien Giang, Vinh Long, Hau Giang, An Giang, Kien Giang.

Inspection Team No. 2, chaired by the Department of Transport, conducted inspections at the Departments of Transport: Hung Yen, Lang Son, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau.
Inspection Team No. 3 and No. 4, chaired by the Department of Roads, conducted inspections at the following Departments of Transport: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Hoa Binh, Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Binh Phuoc, Lam Dong, Dong Thap, Can Tho, Soc Trang, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, and Ho Chi Minh City.
The delegations will inspect the management of business cars of the Department of Transport of the localities from January 2022 to the time of inspection. The delegations will complete the inspection before January 20, 2024.
The Ministry of Transport also requested the Department of Transport of localities to inspect the operations of automobile transport businesses under their management. In particular, localities focus on inspecting the implementation of regulations on traffic safety conditions of automobile businesses and bus stations. Particularly for Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, because there are many passenger car businesses, the Ministry of Transport proposed to develop a suitable inspection plan, in which, focusing on immediately inspecting units that have had traffic accidents or have many violations.
The Ministry of Transport said that the above inspection activities aim to detect inadequacies in regulations related to automobile transport business activities (if any). From there, the units will amend, supplement or recommend to competent authorities measures to overcome and improve the institution to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of State management. Thereby contributing to ensuring traffic safety and order and curbing road traffic accidents caused by automobile transport business vehicles.
Through the above inspection activities, we also assess the compliance with legal regulations of entities in automobile transportation business activities; prevent, detect, correct and handle existing problems and violations (if any); and guide the inspected units to comply with legal regulations.
