On March 22, Mr. Tran Si Thanh, Deputy Director of the Dak Nong Department of Education and Training, said that the unit had sent a document instructing the Department of Education and Training and schools in the area on the enrollment of high school and ethnic boarding schools (PTDTNT) for the 2025-2026 school year.
Specifically, the admission subjects are those who have completed junior high school or junior high school supplementary education. Admission is carried out according to the place of permanent residence registration in the district or city that has been divided into enrollment zones for high schools and ethnic minority boarding schools with high school level. Admission is conducted by two methods: selection and entrance exam.
For the first time, Dak Nong pilots the organization of entrance exams for grade 10.

For public high schools across the province that organize entrance exams, candidates will take 3 subjects: math, literature and English (with sample test questions).
For Nguyen Chi Thanh High School for the Gifted, admission is conducted by entrance exam. Compulsory subjects include: Math, Literature, English and specialized subjects; admission to specialized classes in English, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, Biology, Information Technology, History and Geography.
Accordingly, students can only register for 1 subject and get the result during the admission review process. Students can request the exam board to review their exam after the results of the schools organizing the entrance exam are announced.
N'Trang Long Ethnic Minority High School organizes admission by entrance exam; candidates' exams are graded by the exam board of the Department of Education and Training.
Boarding schools for ethnic minorities at high school level shall conduct admission examinations in the district; recruit additional students in grades 11 and 12 according to the budget quota allocated for the 2025-2026 school year.
If candidates do not pass the exam to Nguyen Chi Thanh Specialized High School and N'Trang Long Ethnic Minority High School, their first choice will be considered for all ethnic minority high schools in the districts and high schools in the province (including exams and admission).
The 10th grade entrance exam schedule for the 2025-2026 school year in Dak Nong province will take place from June 5 and end on June 7 (after the English speaking test).
Mr. Tran Si Thanh said that this year, for the first time, Dak Nong will pilot the entrance exam with 11 out of 32 public high schools in the area, after many years of implementing the admission method for grade 10 (in addition to Nguyen Chi Thanh Specialized High School and N'Trang Long Boarding Ethnic High School).
