Artist Dang Thanh Huyen held her second solo exhibition, Where Time Slows Down, at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum with more than 50 works. About this special exhibition, she said: “This is where I send my memories, my wordless emotions, and the quiet moments amidst the hustle and bustle of life.”

The exhibition, which runs from March 22 to 29, is an opportunity for Dang Thanh Huyen to introduce 50 oil and silk paintings, exploring the themes of nature and family. According to the artist, this is a journey to find simple everyday moments, and also an opportunity for her to tell her own story.
With 50 paintings, mostly large-scale portraits, the exhibition marks a more mature stage in the artist's art.
Dang Thanh Huyen was born in 1984 in Hanoi, in a family with no artistic tradition. She became acquainted with painting at the age of 5-6, graduated from the Vietnam University of Industrial Fine Arts in 2008 and received a master's degree in 2014. In the past 5 years, the female artist has made her mark with exhibitions such as Huong sac Ha Thanh (2019), Be ve giac mo (2024). Her paintings do not stop at describing shapes, but delve into the mood, emotions or stories behind the characters.

She said that in her work journey, she does not let negative views, orientations or doubts affect her. “I believe that time and work are the most convincing answers. If an artist does not have talent and dedication, can they go far in art? A painting cannot be beautiful by the artist's appearance, nor can it last long if it only relies on relationships,” she emphasized.
The owner of the exhibition said: “I do not deny that selling paintings is part of the work of an artist, but that has never been my main goal when doing exhibitions. Painting for me is sharing, a way for me to express my thoughts and feelings through art”.

Dang Thanh Huyen said that in life, she tries to balance her roles as an artist and a businesswoman. When doing art, she allows herself to be free and listen to her emotions to create a connection with the audience. However, in business, Dang Thanh Huyen chooses to be sober and realistic.
Besides her artistic activities, Dang Thanh Huyen is also a businesswoman, with a family of her husband and 3 children. She added that her husband is someone who understands and appreciates art. His spiritual support is the most valuable "backing" she has.
“If you ask me if I am rich, the answer is yes, but in a different way. I am financially independent, have my own business, but what I appreciate most is my husband's support. He is a companion not only in material things but also in spirit, helping me to be able to paint what I really want, paint according to my emotions, according to the stories I want to tell,” said the female artist.
