One UI 7 is coming soon |
Samsung has just announced that One UI 7, its Android 15-based smartphone software, will start rolling out to the company's phones and tablets on April 7.
In the US market, this update will officially launch on April 10, later than other countries. The update will first be available on the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 models, then other smartphone and tablet lines. According to initial information, the devices eligible for the upgrade include models from the S23 series and above, the Tab S9 and Tab S10 series.
Along with updating the phone to Android 15 and a few interface tweaks, One UI 7 aims to bring the Galaxy AI update. Samsung's tool is integrated with Google's Gemini, making it the default assistant and allowing for multi-app actions.
Additionally, natural language search capabilities will be available in the phone's settings, while the Now Bar will get more dynamic widgets on the lock screen interface. According to The Verge , Samsung's various AI tools are also getting performance updates, along with the addition of a new Audio Eraser that can remove various types of noise from videos.
One UI 7 has been available on the high-end Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra since they went on sale in February. Some of the Korean manufacturer's new budget smartphones such as the Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 have also received the interface upgrade.
In addition to AI and interface improvements, One UI 7 also brings a series of privacy and security upgrades. Specifically, users will experience more detailed app access controls, including the ability to easily monitor and adjust the permissions previously granted to apps.
One UI 7 is Samsung's latest user interface, built on Android 15. This update brings many notable improvements, including deeper integration with Google's Gemini AI assistant, support for natural language search, an upgraded interface with dynamic widgets on the lock screen, and improved overall performance. In addition, One UI 7 also focuses on enhancing privacy and security, giving users more control over personal data on Galaxy devices.
