House prices in the North continue to increase sharply, while the fluctuations in the South are not too large.
According to news from a recently released report by PropertyGuru Group, in the North, private house prices increased to VND173 million/ m2 in the third quarter of 2024 compared to VND95 million/ m2 in the first quarter of 2021.

Meanwhile, land prices in this area increased to VND46 million/ m2 in the third quarter of 2024 compared to VND27 million/ m2 in the first quarter of 2021.
In the Southern region, fluctuations in land and house prices are not too large.
Specifically, private house prices increased to VND106 million/ m2 in the third quarter of this year compared to VND94 million/ m2 in early 2021, and land prices increased slightly to VND17 million/ m2 compared to VND13 million/ m2 .
The report also shows that in the Southern real estate market, Binh Duong is the province with outstanding growth in interest and stable selling prices.
Specifically, the level of interest in Binh Duong real estate in the third quarter is expected to increase by 32% compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, other localities such as Long An, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai have increased by 17% - 22%.

In a recently released report on the corporate bond market situation, Visrating said that in August 2024, a batch of bonds with a total face value of VND 450 billion announced a delay in first interest payment.

This bond was issued by Novaland Group in August 2020 with a term of 3 years, and the maturity date was postponed by one year in July 2023.
However, in July 2024, this bond was extended once more until August 2025, the report pointed out.
In total, the total number of newly issued overdue bonds from the beginning of the year to the end of August 2024 is 12,700 billion VND.
The cumulative delinquency rate at the end of August 2024 decreased slightly to 14.9% compared to 15.1% in the previous month. About 63% of the cumulative delinquency value of bonds came from the residential real estate group, with a cumulative delinquency rate of 31%.
In August 2024 alone, 13 late-payment issuers in the residential real estate, retail and agricultural sectors returned a total of VND2,400 billion in principal to bondholders.
After partial payment, the remaining outstanding debt of these issuers is VND 8,500 billion.
FLC Chief Accountant requests termination of labor contract
Mr. Nguyen The Chung - chief accountant of FLC Group Corporation - recently submitted a request to terminate his labor contract for personal reasons from October 19 or when the handover is completed.
In the resignation letter, Mr. Chung committed to comply with conditions such as completing the handover of work and assets in full as prescribed before resigning, and at the same time completely resolving existing obligations and rights (if any) as prescribed.
FLC's Chief Accountant also agreed to let the company temporarily withhold his remaining monthly salary to ensure fulfillment of financial obligations from the date the company received his resignation.

According to the Ministry of Health, the National Assembly and the Government have regulated health insurance premiums based on socio-economic development conditions and the contribution capacity of the state, enterprises, employees and people.
The Law on Health Insurance stipulates that the maximum monthly health insurance contribution is 6% of salary, pension, disability allowance, unemployment allowance or basic salary.
In order to encourage and support people to participate in health insurance, the Government has many policies to support the poor, near-poor, ethnic minorities, people living in extremely difficult areas or agricultural - forestry - fishery - salt-producing households with average living standards.
For people paying health insurance according to their household, the first person pays 4.5% of the basic salary. The second, third, and fourth people pay 70%, 60%, and 50% of the first person's contribution, respectively. From the fifth person onwards, the payment is 40% of the first person's contribution.
In addition, the Government encourages the People's Committees of provinces and cities to base on their budget capacity and legal funding to submit to the People's Councils in their localities to decide on additional support and support for health insurance payments for people.
By the end of August 2024, the number of people participating in health insurance will be over 92.97 million, an increase of 1.64% over the same period in 2023.
