This evening, Mr. Hoang Hiep - owner of Lan Ngan restaurant in Lam Son ward, Thanh Hoa city confirmed that after the press published the news, a customer contacted the restaurant to confirm that he was the person who mistakenly transferred the above amount of money.
The customer who transferred the wrong money is Ms. HTTT (born in 1983), residing in Nghi Son town, Thanh Hoa province. It is known that Ms. T. has just returned from working in Taiwan.
After lunch at the restaurant, when transferring money, she accidentally transferred 270 million VND without knowing it.

“After checking the information and security camera images, we determined that Ms. T. was indeed the one who transferred the money by mistake. We have made an appointment with the customer to come to the police station tomorrow morning (December 1) to work together and hand over the above amount of money,” said Mr. Hoang Hiep.
According to Mr. Hiep, after the information was widely reported in the media, many people called to confirm that the money was theirs with the intention of fraud.
Before that, at around 1:37 p.m. on November 24, a guest came to eat at his family's Lan Ngan restaurant (at 16-22 Hang Than, Lam Son ward, Thanh Hoa city).
The lunch only cost 270 thousand VND, but when paying, this customer mistakenly transferred an amount of 270 million VND (transferred an excess of 269,730,000 VND).
According to Mr. Hiep, his family has been waiting for this guest to return, but for the past 4 days no one has come, so he posted information on his personal page and social media groups, hoping that the guest would read it and transfer the remaining amount back.
