Find yourself in a noisy world

(PLVN) - People are living in a world full of noise, not only the noise of vehicles and streets, but also the endless flow of information, invisible pressures from work, social networks and endless expectations. We can have all the conveniences but still be immersed in anxiety, depression, insomnia and loneliness. Because, in this rush, we have lost connection with ourselves.

In the hustle and bustle of life, people often misunderstand meditation as something mystical and spiritual. However, the book “The Way to Meditation” has opened up a different approach - a path to meditation that is not to escape life, but a journey to discover oneself, to understand and live more fully.

The book “The Path of Meditation” - a collection of Osho's teachings during a three-day meditation course he led at the Mahabaleshwar hills - not only helps us understand meditation but also guides us to regain balance, awakening and touching our inner world.

In “The Way of Zen,” Osho also shatters many misconceptions about meditation, especially the notion that meditation is a state that can be achieved through effort or mental discipline. According to him, meditation is not an act of forcing the mind to be silent, nor is it a method for achieving a particular state. On the contrary, meditation is a letting go, a process of natural observation, where one allows things to happen without interfering, without judging, without holding on or resisting.

When we observe purely, without desire or control, the mind will naturally calm down, just as a lake becomes calm only when there are no ripples from outside influences. As Osho points out: “Meditation means giving up everything in your memory and reaching a state where only consciousness remains, only awareness remains.”

Simply put, meditation is just a way of life, the ability to be fully present in every moment, whether we are eating, walking, working or talking. But modern people are surrounded by so much noise, both outside and inside. So how can we enter meditation naturally?

According to Osho, we must first understand that meditation cannot be achieved through reason, through reading books or studying philosophy. Meditation can only be experienced. It is a journey that begins with silence - silence from the outside world so that we can listen to the world within. He emphasizes that people today talk too much, not only with words but also with the chaotic thoughts in their minds. If we can stop, even for a moment, we will realize that behind that noise there is a vast space, a pure presence that we have long forgotten.

But meditation is not just sitting still with your eyes closed. It is a state of the whole person. The body is also a part of meditation. Osho advises that before one can meditate, one needs a pure body, unhindered by repressed impulses. Unexpressed emotions, accumulated tensions create barriers that prevent one from going deep into oneself. So an important part of meditation is to free the body from blockages, to live naturally and without repression.

One of the important points that Osho emphasizes is that there is no one-size-fits-all formula for meditation. Each person needs to find a path that suits him or her. Some people will find meditation in silence, others in movement, in music, or even in everyday activities. The most important thing is to be fully present in each moment.

In a turbulent world where people are constantly searching for happiness outside, meditation is a reminder that everything we are looking for has always been here, within us.

The Sunday Times of London described Osho as one of the “1,000 shapers of the 20th century”. Meanwhile, the Sunday Mid-Day of India voted Osho as one of the ten people – along with Gandhi, Nehru and Buddha – who changed the destiny of India. Osho is also known for his revolutionary contributions in the field of inner transformation through meditation. Osho’s meditation method (Active Meditation) helps relieve stress for both body and mind, thereby making it easy for people to experience peace and tranquility in their daily lives.
