NDO - On the morning of December 30, in Hanoi, the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization, the Ministry of Public Security and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army held a conference to summarize the program of coordination in mass mobilization work in 2024.

The conference was chaired by: Mai Van Chinh, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission; Pham Tat Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission; Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Do Xuan Tung, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

In 2024, the coordination between the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization with the Ministry of Public Security and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army will continue to be implemented synchronously and comprehensively, in accordance with the functions and tasks of each agency. The agencies have closely followed the Regulations on mass mobilization work of the political system (according to Decision No. 23-QD/TW, dated July 30, 2021 of the Politburo), maintained regular and timely contact, and performed well the function of advising and proposing to the Party and State in issuing leadership and direction documents, effectively implementing mass mobilization work in accordance with the practical situation.

The coordination program has made an important contribution to promoting the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of the armed forces' mass mobilization work, creating a spread in the political system, especially doing a good job of mobilizing people of all walks of life to actively carry out campaigns and emulation movements; improving coordination capacity, improving the effectiveness of handling cases from the grassroots, especially in key areas of national defense and security; being proactive and active in preventing and combating natural disasters, overcoming incidents, dealing with epidemics, maintaining social stability; improving people's lives in conjunction with consolidating national defense and security; promoting the emulation movement "Skilled mass mobilization"; improving the quality of the contingent of cadres and soldiers directly doing mass mobilization work of the political system.

The mass mobilization work of the armed forces has mobilized the combined strength, built the great national unity bloc, ensured political security and social order and safety, and contributed significantly to consolidating the people's trust and attachment to the Party, State and armed forces in the new situation.

The conference also focused on clarifying the limitations, causes of the problems, and at the same time discussing and agreeing on the direction and tasks of coordination work in 2025. Accordingly, it is necessary to continue to organize the dissemination, propaganda, and effective implementation of documents of the Party, State, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Public Security, and General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army on mass mobilization work and coordination programs between the above-mentioned units, in order to raise awareness and responsibility for implementing mass mobilization work of Party committees, authorities, and heads of agencies and units of the armed forces.

Coordinate research, advise and propose to the Politburo and the Secretariat policies and solutions on mass mobilization work and summarize and review resolutions, directives, conclusions and regulations of the Party, the Central Military Commission, the Central Public Security Party Committee on mass mobilization work and contents related to promoting the role of the people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, ensuring national defense, security and social order and safety; advise Party committees and leaders of agencies and units on the organization of the apparatus and staff in conjunction with innovating methods of mass mobilization work in the new context - the era of national growth, ensuring effectiveness and meeting requirements and tasks.

Strengthen coordination to grasp the people's situation, the ethnic and religious situation to advise the Party Committee and the government to promptly resolve issues, not allowing issues that cause public outrage, easily creating "hot spots" that cause political insecurity and social order and safety; grasp the situation related to the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress. Focus on mobilizing, propagating and promoting the role of prestigious people among ethnic minorities and key figures in religions. Propagating, mobilizing and orienting public opinion, promptly detecting and preventing reactionary subjects and bad elements from inciting, connecting and enticing cadres, Party members and people to participate in activities against the Party and the State, causing disorder and destabilizing security and politics.

Actively coordinate to participate in building the political system at the grassroots level, developing the socio-economy, building new rural areas, sustainably reducing poverty, preventing and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and epidemics, and dealing with non-traditional security challenges, especially in key areas, border areas, difficult areas, ethnic minority areas, and areas with a large number of religious followers.
