At the reception, the Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam always attach importance to the special traditional friendship with Belarus, in which the field of education and training plays an important role in connecting and promoting cooperation between the two countries.

Belarus has trained many highly qualified officials and experts for Vietnam in the cause of national construction and development, especially in the field of science and technology.

Considering that the exploitation of cooperation potential between the two countries is still modest, the Deputy Prime Minister hopes that the upcoming visit to Vietnam by the Belarusian Prime Minister will elevate the cooperative relationship between the two countries to become more comprehensive and profound in terms of economy, culture, environment, climate change, security, defense, etc. In which, education remains one of the cooperation priorities between the two countries.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the new agreement on educational cooperation between Vietnam and Belarus, which is about to be signed, will bring practical benefits to the people of the two countries and play a core and pioneering role in promoting comprehensive cooperation between the two countries in the coming time.

The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training and the Belarusian Ministry of Education will urgently promote new educational cooperation programs and frameworks between the two countries in various forms such as delegation exchanges; sharing experiences in general, university and postgraduate education; forming scientific research groups, and student exchanges.

Thanking the Deputy Prime Minister for taking the time to meet him, Minister Andrei I. Ivanets affirmed that cooperation in the field of education and training between the two countries has a lot of room for development. To date, 40 cooperation agreements between universities of Belarus and Vietnam have been signed.

The Intergovernmental Agreement on Educational Cooperation, which will be signed in the near future, will contribute to further promoting cooperation between the two sides in this field, including training activities and improving professional skills in the fields of economics, science and technology.
