Establishment of the My Son Heritage Community Singing and Performing Team

(QNO) - On the morning of March 3, the My Son Heritage Community Bai Choi Singing Performance Team performed a report on the launch of the Bai Choi art product to serve visitors to the My Son temple complex.

The My Son Heritage Community Bai Choi Singing Performance Team consists of 6 members who are residents living outside the relic. Initially, the program will be performed every Saturday and Sunday in the lobby of the My Son Museum, with 6 performances per day (each performance lasting 15 minutes).

According to Mr. Nguyen Cong Khiet - Director of My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board, the My Son Heritage Community Bai Choi Singing Performance Team operates under an independent and self-funded model; it is supported by the My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board with initial funding for equipment purchases as well as funding for the first 6 months to stabilize operations.

“The establishment of the My Son Heritage Community Singing Performance Team not only helps preserve and promote the traditional cultural values ​​of the nation, but also realizes the goal of sharing heritage benefits with local people, contributing to the development of the local economy and society; creating new tourism products, diversifying My Son experience services, meeting the needs of tourists” - Mr. Khiet shared.

The community area surrounding My Son heritage includes bordering communes and surrounding areas with many unique natural and cultural resources. Notable ones include Thach Ban dam, An Hoa industrial zone, Duc Duc, Phan Ngoc Anh fruit garden; further away is Tra Ly lotus field (Duy Son commune, Duy Xuyen), Dai Binh village (Trung Phuoc, Que Son)...

In recent times, international cooperation programs, social welfare policies, economic activities, heritage education, etc. have contributed to changing people's awareness and fostering pride in heritage.

In particular, a number of projects and plans to develop tourism in the vicinity of the heritage have also been implemented by the My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board and Duy Xuyen District People's Committee to take advantage of the potential and advantages to change occupations, create jobs, and join hands in preserving the heritage.
