Inspecting the Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc area, giving opinions on the development of the Safari area in particular as well as the conservation and development of Phu Quoc's forests, the Prime Minister requested the need to create a natural ecological environment to preserve biodiversity, flora and fauna; promote and effectively exploit the project. Vinpearl Safari semi-wild animal care and conservation park - one of the largest open zoos in the world with a total area of ​​nearly 500 hectares, including an open zoo and a semi-wild area. Recently, the World King Record Organization has just awarded the record: Safari on the island with the most diverse species owning the largest number of individuals in the world. Opened on December 24, 2015, up to now, Vinpearl Safari is caring for and nurturing about 200 species with nearly 4,000 individuals. Among them, there are many rare animals: Sumatran Orangutan, Malayan Tapir, Aldabra Giant Tortoise, White Rhinoceros, Bongo Antelope, Asian Elephant, Yellow-cheeked Gibbon, Black-shanked Douc Langur, Red-crowned Crane. Inspecting the Phu Quoc International Passenger Port project, the Prime Minister requested to study the form of bidding for the port management and operation unit to ensure efficiency; planning surrounding areas for production, business and services to create jobs and livelihoods for people.

The project has a total investment of nearly 1,645 billion VND. Currently, the approach bridge, main wharf and breakwater have been completed and are ready for use. The Prime Minister requested Phu Quoc to study the most suitable and effective management, operation and exploitation plan for the port; continue to socialize and call for investment in a number of other items; plan the area around the port with a long-term, strategic and overall vision, and implement in phases, focusing on reserving beautiful locations for trade, production and business to create jobs and livelihoods for the people.

Next, the Prime Minister inspected the temporary waste collection area of ​​Phu Quoc city. Currently, the city has a waste incineration plant with a capacity of 200 tons/day and night and wastewater is being treated locally, serving more than 200,000 people and more than 5 million tourists each year. Emphasizing that waste and wastewater treatment and environmental protection are very important and urgent tasks for Phu Quoc for sustainable and long-term development, the Prime Minister requested Kien Giang province to study and invest in a centralized wastewater treatment plant, and in the long term, it is necessary to study and invest in a waste-to-energy plant, and waste treatment must be closed to meet the circular economy.

Visiting Phu Quoc City Medical Center, the Prime Minister asked the Center's doctors and nurses to do a good job of taking care of people's health. While this is an island, it is impossible to always transport patients back to shore in time in case they have to be transferred to a higher level, while the population is increasing and the number of tourists is increasing. If Phu Quoc wants to develop into an international tourist center, it must have good medical infrastructure.

The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Health to coordinate with Kien Giang province to re-plan the healthcare network to meet requirements; prepare high-quality human resources; invest in building facilities of the right size; modern equipment; strengthen public-private partnership connections, and attract private investment resources.
