On the morning of March 6, at the Presidential Palace, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the welcoming ceremony for Prime Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasimalyev, who paid an official visit to Vietnam from March 6 to 7.
This is the first visit by the head of the Kyrgyz government to Vietnam since the two countries established diplomatic relations; contributing to promoting and bringing the Vietnam-Kyrgyzstan friendship into depth, substance and effectiveness in all fields.
After Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh welcomed Prime Minister Adylbek Kasimalyev, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasimalyev received a bouquet of fresh flowers from children in Hanoi, the two Prime Ministers walked on the red carpet to the welcoming ceremony area.
Military band played the national anthems of the two countries; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Adylbek Kasimalyev walked forward together to salute the national flags of Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh invited Prime Minister Adylbek Kasimalyev to inspect the Guard of Honour of the Vietnam People's Army. The two Prime Ministers introduced to each other the members of the high-ranking delegations of the two countries; and witnessed the welcoming parade of the Guard of Honour of the Vietnam People's Army.
After the welcoming ceremony, the two Prime Ministers moved to the Government Office for talks. Before the talks, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Adylbek Kasimalyev visited the photo exhibition about the country, people and good relations between Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan.
Vietnam and the Kyrgyz Republic established diplomatic relations in 1992, immediately after the Kyrgyz Republic declared independence (in 1991). Since then, the two countries have maintained a good traditional friendship. The two countries have exchanged delegations and held bilateral meetings; closely coordinated and supported each other at international organizations and multilateral forums.
On the basis of the good friendship and cooperation, the official visit to Vietnam by Prime Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasimalyev is an important milestone, marking a new development step in the relationship between the two countries; creating momentum for both sides to further deepen the traditional friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation in areas where the two countries have potential and strengths.
During the visit, in addition to holding talks with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasimalyev will have meetings with senior leaders of our Party and State.
The two sides will discuss ways to promote bilateral relations in all areas of politics-diplomacy, economics-trade-investment, and expand cooperation in other potential areas such as transportation, agriculture, culture, education, tourism, local cooperation and people-to-people exchange, aiming to elevate bilateral relations at an appropriate time, in line with the new situation.
