At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated Türkiye on the great achievements it has made in recent times, especially in diversifying the economy, developing industry, agriculture and construction, promoting the application of science and technology, expanding international economic relations, making Turkey a country with encouraging growth.
The Prime Minister of Vietnam highly appreciated the role and contributions of the Turkish Ministry of Commerce in developing the Turkish economy as well as promoting Vietnam-Türkiye economic cooperation.
To create a breakthrough in economic and trade cooperation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that the Turkish Ministry of Trade and the Minister himself continue to coordinate with ministries and sectors of the two countries to promote a number of specific measures, such as studying the early launch of negotiations on the Vietnam - Turkey Free Trade Agreement (FTA) at an appropriate time, soon organizing the 8th Meeting of the Vietnam - Turkey Intergovernmental Committee in Ankara in 2024, strengthening the organization of trade and investment promotion activities between businesses and localities of the two countries, opening markets, creating conditions for each country's strong export products to penetrate each other's markets, and removing anti-dumping measures on goods and services of partners.
The Turkish Minister of Trade welcomed the visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, thanked the Prime Minister for taking the time to receive him, and affirmed that the visit is an important milestone in the celebration of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations and will promote effective economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Minister affirmed that Vietnam is Türkiye's top priority economic partner in the Asia-Pacific region. Minister Omer Bolat said that after initial successful investment projects, more and more Turkish corporations and enterprises are interested in the Vietnamese market, especially in Turkey's strong fields of construction, industrial production, consumer goods, etc., and announced plans to organize a Turkish business delegation to Vietnam in 2024.
