On Saturday, November 9, the National Assembly continued its 17th working day, the 8th Session, the 15th National Assembly at the National Assembly House, Hanoi, under the chairmanship of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

Morning
* Content 1: Under the direction of Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh, the National Assembly held a plenary session in the hall to listen to the following contents: (i) Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented the Report on the draft Law on Employment (amended). (ii) Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Social Committee Nguyen Thuy Anh presented the Report on the review of the draft Law on Employment (amended). (iii) Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented the Report on the draft Law on Teachers. (iv) Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education Nguyen Dac Vinh presented the Report on the review of the draft Law on Teachers.
* Content 2 : Under the direction of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the draft Resolution on piloting the handling of evidence and assets during the investigation, prosecution and trial of a number of criminal cases. At the discussion session, 15 National Assembly deputies expressed their opinions. The majority of deputies agreed with the necessity of issuing the Resolution, and agreed with many contents of the draft Resolution. In addition, National Assembly deputies focused on discussing and giving opinions on a number of specific contents such as: the purpose of promptly issuing the Resolution to meet practical requirements in handling criminal cases and cases under the monitoring and direction of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity, especially economic crimes and corruption, contributing to better ensuring the rights and legitimate interests of related organizations and individuals and minimizing negative impacts on the investment and business environment; on the name, scope of regulation, subjects of application; principles of pilot implementation; measures for handling evidence and assets during the proceedings (including handling evidence and assets in the form of money; depositing security for the agency conducting the proceedings to cancel the seizure, temporary detention, attachment, and blockade; allowing the purchase, sale, and transfer of evidence and assets; handing over evidence and assets to the owner or legal manager for management, exploitation, and use; temporarily suspending transactions, temporarily suspending registration, transferring ownership, and rights to use assets); on the authority, order, and procedures for deciding on the application and cancellation of measures for handling evidence and assets; responsibilities of agencies in the process of handling evidence and assets; and on the effectiveness of the Resolution. At the end of the discussion session, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy Nguyen Huy Tien spoke to explain and clarify a number of issues of concern to National Assembly deputies.

The National Assembly discussed in groups the Draft Law on Teachers and the Draft Law on Employment (amended).
