Türkiye values relations with Vietnam

Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz received Ambassador Do Son Hai to bid farewell, ending his term of office.

On March 17, at the Presidential Palace in Ankara, Vice President of the Republic of Turkey Cevdet Yilmaz received Ambassador Do Son Hai to say goodbye and end his term of office.

In a solemn and friendly atmosphere, Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz congratulated and appreciated Ambassador Do Son Hai's meaningful contributions to developing the friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and Turkey during his term of office, and hoped that the Ambassador would continue to be a bridge, further promoting the understanding of history and culture between the people of the two countries.

Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz recalled the memories of the very successful and meaningful official visit to Türkiye by Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in 2023 and affirmed that the visit, together with the meeting between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, opened a new chapter in the relationship between the two countries.

Affirming the importance of relations with Vietnam - a friend of Turkey, the Vice President wished to soon upgrade the relationship, creating a foundation for further development in the coming time; at the same time, emphasizing that Türkiye attaches importance to relations with ASEAN within the framework of the "Asia Anew Initiative".

Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz congratulated and appreciated Ambassador Do Son Hai's meaningful contributions to developing the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.

At the reception, Ambassador Do Son Hai expressed his sincere thanks to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz, the Government, ministries, localities and people of Türkiye for their friendship towards Vietnam, creating favorable conditions and effective cooperation with the Ambassador personally, as well as the Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey.

Ambassador Do Son Hai emphasized that Türkiye is an important partner of Vietnam in the region, the bilateral relationship has recently achieved positive progress in many areas and will continue to develop further in the coming time. The Ambassador pledged to continue to convey good messages about the country, people of Türkiye and the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Türkiye.
