If we know how to contribute to building our lives and making our homeland more beautiful, our youth will become even more beautiful.” With that in mind, many young people have participated more in volunteer activities for the community, living not only for themselves but also for everyone.
Bring smiles to children
Last week, nearly 100 students of Phu Duc A Primary School (Long Ho) participated in a very useful children's festival.
From early morning, the children came to school to watch the performances and skits associated with storm and flood prevention propaganda performed by students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City.
The part that was warmly received by the students was the game stations: going to market and coming back, smart frog, riding the wind and waves, where is the land...
Every time they answer a question correctly or skillfully overcome an obstacle and receive a gift, the children happily cheer and clap, making the atmosphere of the Children's Day even more exciting.
Nguyen Ngoc Tuong Vy, a 4th grade student, happily said: "During the summer holidays I couldn't play with my friends. Now I get to meet my friends and play many games, I'm very happy."
Nguyen Chi Thien, a 5th grade student, excitedly showed off the cake and milk he had just received after successfully passing the checkpoint.
“Today’s game is new and really interesting, it trains me to be alert and skillful, and gives me more knowledge to protect myself during storms and floods, and I also get gifts. I wish we could have a playground like this every year” - Chi Thien said.
According to Nguyen Hoang Nhu Ngoc - Captain of the Sharing Bee team, with the desire to bring joy, laughter and training to children, the school's students went to the locality to organize a playground for them.
Through this, the children are trained in many useful skills, creating solidarity and beautiful friendships among the children. In addition, they also donated 10 health insurance packages and learning tools to disadvantaged but studious children; carried out projects to renovate playgrounds for children... And to have funds for the activities, they previously sold goods and made handmade items to raise funds.
“We are very happy that the activities were enthusiastically received by the children. We hope to create more playgrounds and useful activities for the children and always want to come back here in the following summers to contribute more” - Nhu Ngoc shared.
Participating in renovating the children's playground at Phu Duc Kindergarten, despite her hands, feet, and clothes being stained with paint, Ngo Quynh My, a first-year student majoring in Psychology, still smiled happily.
Quynh My expressed: "Wearing the green shirt, carrying enthusiasm and youthfulness, I wish to share love and spread good things in society."
Passion for volunteering for the community

Not only actively participating in the youth union and association movements at school, Van Huu is also present with the group of young Vinh Long students volunteering in all aspects.
From supporting playground repairs for children, participating in cooking to support meals for poor workers, lottery ticket sellers, motorbike taxi drivers to supporting exam season...
According to Van Huu, happiness is giving. And that concept has become the guiding principle for the passionate youth of Van Huu - a student who is always full of energy, spreading positivity to those around him.

Young people must contribute more to the community to make their youth more beautiful and meaningful. That is why the young people of the "Red Blood Drops" Club in Long Ho district are always ready to volunteer to donate their red blood to help bring life to the sick.
Every year, 3-4 times, when there is a blood donation activity organized in the district, young people immediately register to participate.
Like Mr. Nguyen Huu Thong - Secretary of Thanh Duc Commune Youth Union, who voluntarily donated blood 15 times. Or Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tan - member of Long Ho Youth Union, who donated blood 21 times.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tan shared: “Donating blood to save lives is a meaningful act, demonstrating the spirit of sharing and living beautifully of youth. As a young person, I must enthusiastically participate.”
Mr. Nguyen Minh Quan - Secretary of Phuoc Hau Commune Youth Union has donated blood 18 times. Not only that, he also actively promotes voluntary blood donation in the locality.
During the activities of the Youth Union, he often told the members and youth: "A drop of blood given, a life saved". If you are healthy enough, please volunteer to donate blood, because the members and youth need to be proactive in all activities.
Thanks to his exemplary and pioneering role, he has mobilized hundreds of union members, youth and people to participate in voluntary blood donation activities every year.
He said: “Voluntary blood donation is of special importance, contributing to timely replenishment of blood supply for emergency and patient treatment activities at hospitals. Therefore, I will continue to participate in blood donation and encourage everyone to join together to “donate blood - give life”.
