Thanh Luong becomes head coach of Hoa Binh Club

On the homepage, Hoa Binh Club wrote: "Coming to Hoa Binh FC, Pham Thanh Luong is expected to have many years of experience playing in the domestic arena as well as in the national team's jersey to help the team perfect its playing style and develop a team with its own unique identity.

Wishing Coach Pham Thanh Luong success in his position as Head Coach and helping Hoa Binh FC achieve the highest goal in the 2024 National First Division season."

Pham Thanh Luong left Hanoi FC after the 2023 season and ended his football career at the age of 34. Not long after, he announced his retirement and officially became the head coach of Hoa Binh Club from the 2023/2024 season.

Hoa Binh FC announced the contract with Thanh Luong.

“Hoa Binh is a young team that has just joined the professional league. Accepting this offer is also a completely new challenge for me. However, I like working in teams like this. I hope to continue to inherit Mr. Quoc Vuong to build a young team that plays beautifully and has its own identity,” Thanh Luong said after taking office.

In his illustrious career, Thanh Luong has won all the most prestigious titles. The former player born in 1988 has won 5 V-League championships (2013, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2022), 3 National Cups (2019, 2020, 2022) and 4 Vietnam Super Cups (2018, 2019, 2020, 2022). The player wearing the number 11 shirt has 240 appearances, scoring 18 goals and countless assists for his teammates. For most of his peak playing time, Thanh Luong was associated with Hanoi FC.

Thanh Luong is known as one of the best midfielders in the history of Vietnamese football. He is the only male player to own 4 Vietnamese Golden Balls (2009, 2011, 2014 and 2016).

With Hoa Binh Club, the Northwest team parted ways with coach Le Quoc Vuong after the 2023 season. The former SLNA player joined Hong Linh Ha Tinh Club as an assistant to coach Nguyen Thanh Cong.
