Coach Pham Thanh Luong signed a contract with Hanoi Police Club. The former Vietnam Golden Ball became assistant to Coach Kiatisak Senamuang.
" The Hanoi Police Club welcomes former player Pham Thanh Luong as its new assistant coach. During his time as a player, Pham Thanh Luong won numerous club-level titles as well as the 2008 AFF Suzuki Cup championship with the Vietnam national team.
Before becoming coach Kiatisak's right-hand man, the former Vietnam national team player once led Hoa Binh Club to compete in the First Division ," the police team announced.
Besides Pham Thanh Luong, Coach Kiatisak's assistant team includes Mr. Kim Woo-jae, Azmin Aziz, Witoon Mingkwan and Bundit Thiabthong.

Before joining the Hanoi Police Club, Coach Pham Thanh Luong led the Hoa Binh Club. However, Thanh Luong left the team after only half a season due to poor performance.
It was not until round 5 of the 2023/24 First Division that Hoa Binh Club won its first victory. After 12 rounds, Hoa Binh ranked second to last with 11 points, 6 points more than Phu Tho.
The 2023/24 National First Division has only 1 relegation spot. However, the current position of Hoa Binh Club is not safe. Therefore, the team needs a change when preparing to enter the second leg.
During his playing days, Coach Pham Thanh Luong won all the most prestigious titles in Vietnamese football. The former player born in 1988 won 5 V-League championships (2013, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2022), 3 National Cups (2019, 2020, 2022) and 4 Vietnamese Super Cups (2018, 2019, 2020, 2022). He is the only player to win 4 Vietnamese Golden Balls.
Thanh Luong played 240 times, scored 18 goals and had many assists. Most of Pham Thanh Luong's peak playing time was in the Hanoi FC shirt.
Hanoi Police Club - the team Thanh Luong just joined - ranked third in V.League 2023/24 with 22 points, 7 points behind the top team Nam Dinh.
