CAHN Club recruits a great deputy general for Kiatisak: 'Strange' salary

On March 19, Hanoi Police Club (CAHN Club) appointed former player Pham Thanh Luong as assistant coach to coach Kiatisak Senamuang. Thanh Luong will join the CAHN coaching staff starting from the second leg of V-League 2023 - 2024.

While still playing, former player Thanh Luong (Luong Di) won numerous club-level titles as well as the 2008 AFF Cup championship with the Vietnam national team. Playing for Hanoi ACB Club and Hanoi Club, Thanh Luong also won 4 Vietnamese Golden Balls, becoming the player honored the most times in this noble category.

Former player Thanh Luong joins CAHN Club

Before becoming coach Kiatisak's right-hand man, the former Vietnam national team player once led Hoa Binh Club in the first division.

CAHN FC is showing signs of decline under coach Kiatisak. After 4 unbeaten matches in his first season, the Thai strategist and his players have lost 2 consecutive matches, both against Viettel FC in round 13 of the V-League and round 16 of the 2023-2024 National Cup.

CAHN Club has added many good players since being promoted to V-League. The expensive star squad immediately helped the team win the 2023 V-League. However, the coaching staff of CAHN has been constantly "changing blood" this season, with 3 changes in head coach. With the presence of Thanh Luong, Kiatisak will have another good assistant to handle the unpredictable V-League.

After 13 rounds, CAHN Club has 22 points, 7 points behind the top team Nam Dinh. After the return leg, CAHN will visit Thanh Hoa Stadium in round 14, then return to Hang Day Stadium to compete with SLNA and Nam Dinh.
