Starting from Sunday morning, November 17, Sacombank Hai Duong has implemented a plan to enhance customer support in updating biometric information and identification documents with bank accounts.

Starting from Sunday morning, November 17, Sacombank Hai Duong will support customers to update biometric information for bank accounts and update new identity documents to replace expired documents.

According to Hai Duong Newspaper reporters, people mainly come to update their biometric information. Although Sacombank Hai Duong has implemented instructions for customers to update their identification information since the end of June 2024 (to be eligible to transfer money from the banking application with an amount of over VND 10 million/transaction or over VND 20 million/day from July 1), there are still a large number of customers of this bank who have not done so.

Because they did not want their transactions to be interrupted, hundreds of people gathered at the Sacombank Hai Duong headquarters to update their information, of which 80% came to update their biometrics, and the remaining 20% ​​updated their identification documents.

From January 1, 2025, according to the 2023 Law on Identification, Circulars 17 and 18 of the State Bank, Sacombank will temporarily suspend payment transactions and cash withdrawals at all channels for customers whose identification documents have expired; temporarily suspend all online transactions and cash withdrawals at ATMs/deposit systems for individual customers and corporate cardholders who have not registered for biometrics.

This is the reason why hundreds of people gathered at the Sacombank Hai Duong headquarters, 80% of whom updated their biometric information, the remaining 20% ​​updated their new identification documents. The bank staff arranged waiting chairs and guided people to parking spaces.

In front of the branch office, there are staff to help people park their vehicles.

To avoid disruption of banking transactions, people and businesses using banking services need to check and promptly update biometric information and new identification documents to replace expired documents.
