Accordingly, the General Department of Taxation decided to impose administrative sanctions on Ha Do Group Joint Stock Company (Ha Do Group), located at 8 Lang Ha, Thanh Cong Ward, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.

The fine is 4.49 billion VND, of which about 4.12 billion VND is for false tax declaration, including: 4.05 billion VND in 2022 and more than 60.8 million VND in 2023.

In addition, the tax authority also fined Ha Do Group VND373.6 million for issuing invoices at the wrong time, but it did not lead to a delay in tax payment and applied aggravating circumstances for repeated administrative violations.

Fine Ha Do Group 1.08 million VND for using invoices in violation of regulations (related to the invoice issuer leaving the business address according to the conclusion of the People's Court of Phu Tho province).

To remedy the consequences, the General Department of Taxation requires Ha Do Group to pay the full amount of 1,051 billion VND in tax arrears to the state budget. Of which, there are nearly 984 million VND in corporate income tax and more than 67.6 million VND in value added tax in 2022 and 2023.

Along with that, Ha Do Group must pay 2,109 billion VND in late tax payment, including 2,097 billion VND in late payment of corporate income tax (for the years 2022 and 2023) and nearly 11.9 million VND in late payment of value added tax for the same period.

This late tax payment amount is calculated until September 25, 2024. Ha Do Group is responsible for calculating and paying the late tax payment amount from September 25 to the time of actual payment of the additional tax and fines to the state budget.

The decision of the General Department of Taxation clearly states that within 10 days from the date of receiving the penalty decision, Ha Do Group must complete the payment of the fine. If the deadline is exceeded, the administrative decision will be enforced according to regulations.

Previously, in July 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department decided to impose administrative tax penalties on Ha Do Group, with a total fine and arrears of about 131 million VND.

Ha Do Group operates in the fields of real estate, construction, energy investment and financial activities.

In early October 2024, Ha Do Group (code HDG) held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders in 2024 and agreed to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Trong Thong from the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors according to his personal wishes, and at the same time elected Mr. Le Xuan Long, member of the Board of Directors, as Chairman of the Board of Directors and appointed Mr. Nguyen Trong Minh to the position of General Director of the Group.
