Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Ha Xuan Duy, Deputy Director of the Environmental Crime Prevention Police Department, Ministry of Public Security, said: In recent times, the Environmental Crime Prevention Police Force has actively and proactively advised the Ministry of Public Security to propose the Party and the State to issue many important policies and guidelines on resource management, environmental protection, response to climate change and sustainable development such as: Resolution No. 24/NQ-TW of the Party Central Committee (11th tenure) on Proactively responding to climate change, strengthening resource management, environmental protection; Law on Environmental Protection 2020; Project on strengthening prevention and combat of biodiversity crimes until 2030, vision to 2050, along with many other important legal documents and projects. Thereby, it has gradually raised public awareness in environmental protection and biodiversity protection...
According to Major General Ha Xuan Duy, on December 27, 2022, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 1623/QD-TTg approving the Project "Strengthening the prevention and control of biodiversity crimes until 2030, with a vision to 2050". Implementing the direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security on leading the implementation of the Project, the Department of Environmental Crime Prevention and Control presided over and coordinated with Ba Vi National Park to organize the Launching Ceremony in response to the implementation of the Project "Strengthening the prevention and control of biodiversity crimes" in 2023, organizing environmental protection and social security activities at Ba Vi National Park.
The activities will focus on the following contents: Dissemination of laws on environmental protection and biodiversity protection, especially the effective implementation of the National Strategy on Biodiversity to 2030, with a vision to 2050, creating a strong change in awareness and sense of responsibility of agencies, organizations and individuals in complying with the law on biodiversity, contributing to the conservation of ecosystems, conservation of wild animals and plants, especially wild animals and plants of groups IA, IIA, IB, IIB and Appendix I of the CITES Convention. At the same time, educating and raising awareness of the role and responsibility of officers, soldiers, youth and women of the People's Public Security force in the new situation; continuing to arouse and further promote pride in the glorious and heroic tradition of the Industry and the unit.
In particular, this is also an important opportunity for the People's Public Security force in general, and the Environmental Police Force in particular, to meet, exchange and listen directly to the voices of the local authorities, people and functional forces outside the Public Security sector and the masses on environmental protection work. Thereby, units outside the Public Security sector also understand more clearly about the functions, tasks and activities of the Environmental Police force in order to closely cooperate with the Environmental Police force in the fight against crimes and violations of the law on the environment, resources and food safety.

I hope that each of us will make positive contributions to join hands in building the future of the “Common Home - Earth”, creating a clean environment, maintaining ecological balance for the sustainable development of mankind" - Major General Ha Xuan Duy expressed.
Speaking in response to the implementation of environmental protection and biodiversity protection, Mr. Do Huu The - Director of Ba Vi National Park commented: The Environmental Police and Ba Vi National Park both recognize that it is necessary to join hands with greater determination in the uncompromising fight against organizations and criminals of wildlife. Therefore, on the basis of Resolution No. 135-NQ/DUC05 dated August 2, 2023 of the Party Committee of the Environmental Police Department on leading the implementation of the Project "Strengthening the prevention and combat of biodiversity crimes to 2030, with a vision to 2050", the two units agreed to sign a Cooperation Agreement on propaganda and prevention of crimes in biodiversity conservation according to the agreed terms.
At the ceremony, representatives of the Director of the Environmental Police Department and representatives of Ba Vi National Park signed an agreement on cooperation in environmental protection and biodiversity protection for the period 2023 - 2025.
Within the framework of the launching ceremony, representatives of the Environmental Police Department presented environmental protection equipment to representatives of Tan Linh Commune People's Committee and Ba Vi National Park; presented gifts to families with preferential policies in difficult circumstances and poor students who have overcome difficulties.
Within the framework of the Launching Ceremony, there are also activities such as: Recycling plastic waste, cleaning and collecting waste at some locations in Ba Vi district; Photo exhibition with the theme: "Joining hands to protect migratory birds"; Giving trash bins and cloth bags to replace plastic bags to officers and local people; Organizing propaganda and dissemination of laws on environmental protection, biodiversity protection and the fight against environmental pollution and environmental violations through various forms...
