On the morning of March 9, Politburo member, Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee.
Also attending were Deputy Secretaries of the Government Party Committee; Deputy Prime Ministers, members of the Government Party Committee Standing Committee; representatives of the Central Organization Committee, the Central Inspection Committee, and the Central Party Office.
At the Conference, the Government Party Committee announced the Politburo's Decision to appoint members, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Government Party Committee's Inspection Commission for the 2020-2025 term; discussed the situation of directing the preparation for party congresses at all levels towards the first Government Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, including reviewing the preparation for congresses of Party Committees directly under the Government Party Committee, and at the same time planning to establish sub-committees to serve the Government Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term; and reviewed the propaganda plan for the Government Party Congress.
The Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee also assessed the implementation of work according to the working program of Inspection Delegation 1910 of the Politburo and the Secretariat; discussed the development of the Government Party Committee's Inspection and Supervision Program in 2025; the consolidation of agencies assisting the Government Party Committee and a number of other important issues.
Discussing and giving specific opinions on the above contents in line with the Party's regulations and instructions, concluding the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the preparation work and the dedicated, responsible and quality opinions of the members of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee; at the same time, noted some specific contents.
Regarding the establishment of sub-committees to serve the Government Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, the Party Secretary and Prime Minister noted that the sub-committees must ensure appropriate structure, composition, and personnel, linked to professional functions and tasks, ensuring in-depth understanding to best contribute and perform the sub-committee's tasks; establish standing units and working groups to assist the sub-committees.
The Secretary of the Government Party Committee requested that the establishment and assignment of tasks to the working group to direct the congresses of Party Committees directly under the Government Party Committee must be consistent with the tasks of responsibility for professional direction of the Party Committee and Government leaders towards Party Committees, ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and agencies under the Government.
Regarding the propaganda, inspection and supervision work of the Government Party Committee, the Prime Minister requested that it is necessary to closely follow and concretize the Party's policies and guidelines, but with a focus and key points, focusing on the functions, tasks and powers of the Government and the Government Party Committee, especially the current priorities and key directions and operations such as summarizing the implementation of Resolution 18 of the Central Committee, implementing Resolution 57 of the Politburo, implementing the directions of the Government and the Prime Minister in many areas such as: Perfecting institutions, decentralization, reviewing and cutting administrative procedures, promoting growth, disbursing public investment capital, developing social housing, eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, implementing key transport projects, etc.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the agencies assisting the Government Party Committee to continue to complete documents, draft programs and plans for the Standing Committee and the Standing Committee of the Party Committee to consider; urgently continue to improve the organization and working regulations of the agencies assisting the Government Party Committee according to the direction of the Central Committee, the regulations of the Party and the Politburo, especially Decision No. 249-QD/TW of the Politburo dated January 24, 2025 on the functions, tasks and organizational structure of the Government Party Committee.
The Party Secretary and Prime Minister emphasized that at present and in the coming time, the Government Party Committee, the Government and the whole country will continue to carry out many important tasks at the same time, such as continuing to reorganize the political system; promoting growth; drafting documents and preparing for party congresses at all levels; celebrating major national holidays, etc.
Therefore, the Standing Committee members and agencies assisting the Government Party Committee continue to be proactive, promote the spirit of self-awareness, self-reliance, and self-strengthening, carry out the tasks assigned by the Party and State and trusted by the people according to the Party's regulations and rules; and excellently complete the assigned tasks./.
