Police determined that at around 10:30 a.m. on August 11, in front of kiosk number 885 Giai Phong Street, Giap Bat Ward (Hoang Mai District), Nguyen Ngoc Tuan beat Mr. NVT (in Hanoi) due to a traffic collision.

After that, Mr. T. called his wife to pick him up. At around 12 noon that same day, 6 members of Mr. T.'s family went to 885 Giai Phong Street to meet Tuan.

There, the two sides argued loudly. Tuan punched Mr. T's daughter in the face. Mr. T's son and son-in-law saw this and rushed in. Tuan ran into the kiosk, took a knife and rushed out, slashing Mr. T's son-in-law once in the back of the neck, injuring him.

After that, Tuan got into a 7-seater car and was about to leave when Mr. T's family stopped him. Tuan drove the car forward about 3 meters and then got out, holding a 40cm long screwdriver in his hand and stabbed Mr. T's brother-in-law and his wife, injuring them.

Tuan continued to use a screwdriver to stab a family member of Mr. T in the side. Only when Tuan's biological mother intervened did the subject stop, throw away the screwdriver and drive away.

After committing the crime, Tuan fled, refusing to comply with the police summons. On August 16, Hoang Mai District Police tracked down and arrested Nguyen Ngoc Tuan for intentionally causing injury.

Nguyen Ngoc Tuan has 3 previous convictions for assaulting and causing harm to the health of others at Giap Bat bus station.
