Son La restores and promotes the value of the Co Noi Intersection Historical Site

On the morning of March 21, comrade Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the restoration and promotion of the value of the Co Noi Intersection Historical Relic Site chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee to assess the results of activities in the first quarter; deploy key tasks in the second quarter of 2025. Attending the meeting were comrade Trang Thi Xuan, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrade Dinh Thi Bich Thao, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; comrade Cha A Cua, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and members of the Steering Committee.

In the first quarter of 2025, the Steering Committee for the restoration and promotion of the value of the Co Noi Intersection Historical Relic Site directed member sectors to promote the dissemination of the meaning and value of the Co Noi Intersection National Historical Relic Site and the content of the book "Co Noi Intersection - Immortal Epic" on the media; Focus on directing and guiding the removal of difficulties and obstacles; complete the compensation, resettlement support, land acquisition, and site clearance of the Project; Coordinate with the Central Youth Union's Investment and Construction Project Management Board to complete relevant procedures according to regulations to start the project phase II with the Central Youth Union as the investor; Complete the Plan for content development, art design and construction of exhibitions at the Co Noi Intersection National Historical Relic Site in the period of 2024-2025 to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval and implementation.

Regarding site clearance, support and resettlement: For the area invested by the Central Youth Union, up to now, 10/10 households have been paid, with a value of nearly 2.3 billion VND, an area of ​​2.22 hectares, and the site has been handed over to the Central Youth Union's Construction Investment Project Management Board. For the area invested by Mai Son district, the cadastral survey has been completed and land recovery notices have been issued; assets on land have been counted by 52/59 households, and land origin has been verified by 51/59 households. The resettlement site in sub-area 26/3, Co Noi commune, has completed investment in infrastructure and technical facilities and is ready to receive resettled households. Currently, there are 5 households that have not agreed to the compensation support plan.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Lo Minh Hung requested departments, branches, and members of the Steering Committee to focus on accelerating the progress of land acquisition, compensation, support, resettlement, and site clearance for the Co Noi Intersection Historical Site Project, to ensure progress in implementing the construction of Phase II of the project. Continue to coordinate with the Central Youth Union and the Central Youth Union Project Management Board to invest in items of Phase II of the project invested by the Central Youth Union, ensuring compliance with the plan. At the same time, continue to promote propaganda about the significance and historical value of the Co Noi Intersection National Historical Site; about planning, site clearance, and implementation of investment in construction of items of the Phase II project. Ensure security and order when implementing compulsory inventory, compulsory land acquisition, and site clearance to implement the project./.
