He predicted that the school's benchmark score this year would be around 16 - 24 points. Specifically, for hot majors such as Marketing, International Business, Logistics and Supply Chain, the benchmark score could increase by 0.5 points to around 23 - 24 points. Majors such as Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Food Technology are expected to have a benchmark score of 22 - 24 points, while some other majors will have a benchmark score of 16 - 18 points.

Regarding the University of Economics and Law (Ho Chi Minh City National University), Mr. Cu Xuan Tien, Head of Admissions and Student Affairs Department, also said that the number of candidates applying for admission to the school in 2024 increased by 2,400 candidates (equivalent to 17%) compared to the previous year.
"It is likely that the admission score will also increase. However, this is just a prediction, the admission score depends on the number of candidates' wishes for each major," Mr. Tien added.
A representative of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry informed that the total number of applications received by the school in this year's university entrance exam is about 40,000 (last year, more than 36,000 applications). Some hot majors: Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Automation, Law are expected to have a slight increase in benchmark scores compared to last year.
Mr. To Van Phuong, Head of Training Department of Nha Trang University, shared that the number of applications to the school this year increased by about 12%. Of which, 64.5% of early admitted candidates registered their applications to the school on the Ministry's system.
Majors such as English Language, Biotechnology, Accounting, and Hotel Management are expected to increase by 0.5-1 points. For the remaining majors, the basic benchmark scores are stable because the academic transcript scores have increased.
Gia Dinh University representative informed that the number of applications this year increased slightly, about 10% compared to last year. Some majors that attract candidates' interest in early admission are: Information Technology, Multimedia Communications, Marketing, Law, Business Administration.
As of the time the online registration portal was closed - 5:00 p.m. on July 30, the Ministry of Education and Training's General Admission Support System recorded more than 733,000 registered candidates (equivalent to 68.5% of the number of candidates registering for the 2024 high school graduation exam).
In 2023, 660,000 candidates nationwide registered for admission, equivalent to 65.9%, and in 2022, 616,000 students registered - a rate of 64.1% compared to the number of candidates registering for the high school graduation exam in the same year.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the number of candidates registering for university entrance exams this year increased by more than 60,000, which is a good sign, showing positive signs of increased awareness and increased access to higher education in recent years.
