(NLDO) - A 10th grade female student who repeatedly slapped her friend in the face and threatened to use electric shock has been suspended from school for a week and is awaiting verification results from the police.
On the morning of March 10, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoang, Principal of Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Buon Ho town, Dak Lak province), said that during the flag-raising ceremony this morning, the school announced a one-week suspension for the female student who beat her friend and threatened her with an electric shock.

According to the school's verification results, PHYN (10th grade student) saw a post on social media (incognito mode) that defamed her. N. suspected that NTL (a classmate) was the one who wrote it, so a conflict arose between the two.
When arriving at class, N. slapped L. many times in the face. When beating his friend, N. brought an electric shocker (shaped like a lighter) to scare him.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoang said that for now, the school will suspend N from school for 1 week. When the police have verified the results, based on the level of violation, the school will continue to review and handle the matter.
"The school has announced a one-week suspension for N. during the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the week as a general precaution. The school has also reprimanded the student who filmed and distributed the clip; reviewed and learned from the homeroom teacher and the students who witnessed it but did not intervene; and cut off the class's competition" - Mr. Hoang informed.
Regarding the origin of the electric shock device, Mr. Hoang said that when working with the school, N.'s parents explained that because they worked in cattle slaughter, they ordered an electric shock device on social media to shock the cow when slaughtering. However, when they bought it, they could not use it and put it in the cupboard. Afterwards, N. took the electric shock device to school.
As reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, on March 4, a clip appeared on social media recording a female student repeatedly slapping another female student in the face in class.
While slapping her friend, the female student laughed and took out an electric shock device to press it, making noises to scare her. Being beaten and threatened by the electric shock device, the remaining female student could only sit there, covering her face in fear.
