On the afternoon of March 21, the Department of Industry and Trade of Hai Duong held a conference to announce the decision to receive and establish the Market Management Department on the basis of receiving the original status of the Market Management Department of Hai Duong province from the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
At the conference, the Director of the Department of Industry and Trade announced and awarded the decision to appoint comrade Tran Van Toan, Director of the Market Management Department of Hai Duong province, to hold the position of Director of the Market Management Department; appointed 3 Deputy Directors of the Department, 2 heads of department and 5 team leaders, along with 4 deputy heads of department and 11 deputy team leaders.
Speaking at the assignment of tasks to the leaders and staff of the Market Management Department, Mr. Tran Van Hao, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, requested that in the coming time, the leaders and staff of the Department continue to unite, promote their strengths to perform well the assigned tasks and powers. Support, advise, and promptly report to the leaders of the Department on market management plans. Monitor, synthesize, and forecast market developments, proactively combat smuggling and trading of goods of unknown origin.
In the coming time, the department will be proactive, flexible, and adapt quickly to the changing socio-economic situation. In particular, it will strengthen coordination with relevant agencies to effectively manage e-commerce activities.
The Director of the Department of Industry and Trade requested that the departments and units of the department continue to pay attention and coordinate with the branch in performing common tasks so that the market management force can complete its tasks well.
The Market Management Department currently has 51 civil servants with 2 specialized departments and 5 Market Management Teams, 1 department less than the old Market Management Department model. The office of the department is located at the old Market Management Department headquarters.
Previously, the structure of the market management force was organized vertically. The provincial and municipal Market Management Departments were under the direct management of the General Department of Market Management (Ministry of Industry and Trade). According to the orientation, arrangement, and streamlining of the organizational apparatus, the model of the General Department of Market Management ended its operation from March 1 and established the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development. The Provincial People's Committee received the Market Management Department to the locality at the request of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Official Dispatch No. 839/BCT - TCQLTT dated February 6, 2025.
