Despite not being able to defend his Grand Slam title in Australia, Djokovic was deducted 1,200 points but still maintained his top position in the ATP. Nole is currently only 600 points ahead of Carlos Alcaraz, 1,090 points ahead of 3rd place Medvedev and 1,545 points ahead of Sinner.
The top 10 men's singles rankings have 4 changes compared to before the 2024 Australian Open took place. The runner-up of the 2023 tournament, Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece), was deducted 1,000 points, dropping to 10th place. Holger Rune (Denmark), Hubert Hurkacz (Poland), Taylor Fritz (USA) all had strong advancements.
Behind, British player Cameron Norrie returned to the top 20, the top 30 has the presence of two new players, Tomas Etcheverry (Argentina) and Tallon Griekspoor (Netherlands).
After winning the Australian Open, Jannik Sinner withdrew from the ATP 250 Open 13 Provence tournament in Marseille (France) from February 5 to February 11. The organizers announced Sinner's withdrawal but did not disclose the reason and chose Alexander Zverev as his replacement.
