U22 Vietnam had two impressive matches in the friendly tournament in China. In the opening match, U22 Vietnam “dropped” the victory against U22 Korea when the opponent equalized in the 90+1 minute.
Recently, U22 Vietnam continued to have a goalless draw with U22 Uzbekistan. This result helped U22 Vietnam temporarily rank second in the rankings, equal in points (2) and goal difference with U22 Uzbekistan but better in terms of goals scored (1 vs 0).
Currently, U22 China, after a surprising 1-0 victory against U22 Korea, is leading the rankings. U22 China has 4 points with a goal difference of +1. Meanwhile, U22 Korea is at the bottom with only 1 point.
To compete for the championship, U22 Vietnam must beat U22 China in the final match. If they win, U22 Vietnam will surpass U22 China in the rankings.
Winning the final match is a necessary condition, the sufficient condition is that U22 Uzbekistan does not win against U22 Korea in the final match. In case U22 Uzbekistan wins, U22 Vietnam will still have a chance to win the championship if the opponent has a lower or equal goal difference but scores fewer goals.
U22 Vietnam will meet U22 China at 6:35 p.m. on March 25.
