On February 20, the cruise ship Spectrum of The Seas (Bahamas nationality) docked at TCCT Port in Cai Mep - Thi Vai (Ba Ria - Vung Tau), bringing 4,485 international guests here and will visit some provinces in the Southeast region.
Before arriving in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, on January 4, this ship also brought 4,393 tourists to Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa.
After getting off the ship, tourists are divided into small groups and picked up by tourist buses to visit Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, etc.
Of which, Saigontourist mobilized more than 55 vehicles to pick up and drop off guests.
Some travelers choose to rent a private car to have a free experience according to their preferences.
Nearly 200 tourists chose the tour route in Ba Ria - Vung Tau. These tourists visited the Cao Dai Temple, listened to the tour guide introduce the religion and some historical and cultural relics of Vietnam. In Ba Ria - Vung Tau, tourists also tasted many local specialties.
In addition, tourists were also taken to visit Hoa Long market, a large market in Ba Ria - Vung Tau. Then they continued to visit and experience a local rice paper making facility. Tourists were delighted to taste many specialties and experience many interesting destinations in the locality.
According to the Port Border Guard, since the beginning of the year, the Cai Mep - Thi Vai port system has welcomed 20 cruise ships with about 55,000 international visitors. In 2024, about 25 ships have sent their expected schedules to dock at Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
Spectrum of the Seas cruise ship is in the top 10 most luxurious cruise ships in the world. The ship has many amenities such as three swimming pools, an outdoor cinema, a spa, and a theater that can accommodate 1,300 people. This is a super yacht of the Quantum series of Royal Caribbean International (RCI), built at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany and launched in April 2019.
The ship is 347m long and nearly 63m high, considered the largest cruise ship operating in Asia with 16 floors and more than 2,000 rooms, and can serve up to 5,600 guests.
