The Quan The Am Festival is one of the major cultural and religious events of Da Nang, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists. With a variety of activities, the festival is not only a place for people to worship and pray for peace but also an opportunity to promote the unique cultural values of the Ngu Hanh Son land.
The Quan The Am Festival took place in a joyful atmosphere welcoming cultural events celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Da Nang City Party Committee and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang City.
The Quan The Am Festival has a history of hundreds of years, is the crystallization of Buddhist cultural values and the special cultural heritage of Ngu Hanh Son (Da Nang). Together with Ngu Hanh Son Scenic Area (Special National Monument) and Ma Nhai (Documentary Heritage) under the Memory of the World Program of the Asia-Pacific region, the Festival has become a cultural and religious symbol of the local people.
The 2025 Festival will take place over 4 days (from March 16 to 19, on February 17, 18, 19 and 20, At Ty year), including a combination of ceremonies and festivals. This is the third year the Festival has been held on a city scale, bringing together many unique cultural, artistic, sports and religious programs.

Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong said: "With its unique and distinctive features, the Quan The Am Festival is the crystallization of Buddhist culture and the cultural heritage of Ngu Hanh Son, demonstrating the harmonious combination of religion and ethnicity. The festival is an attractive destination not only for domestic tourists but also an opportunity for international tourists to experience and explore the spiritual and cultural values of Vietnamese Buddhism; and cultural exchange with peoples in the Asia-Pacific region."
The highlight of this year's festival is the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva Festival taking place on the morning of March 18 (February 19 of the lunar calendar). This is the main ceremony of the event, attracting a large number of monks, nuns, Buddhists and tourists from all over the world. In particular, two new activities were organized for the first time: a peace walk with more than 300 representatives from agencies, organizations and consulates in Da Nang and a talk show "The influence of Buddhism in the Ma Nhai documentary heritage at Ngu Hanh Son". These are practical activities, contributing to promoting the value and elevating the Avalokitesvara Festival - a national intangible cultural heritage.

During the festival, many cultural, artistic, sports and folk games activities were held, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere. The highlight was the Bai Choi Singing Festival in Zone V - a typical folk performance of the Central region, recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The humorous and familiar antiphonal songs vividly reflect the working life, the love between husband and wife, the love between neighbors, making listeners excited and immersed in the cultural space imbued with folklore.
For the first time participating in the Quan The Am Festival and experiencing Bai Choi, Mr. Dong Vu Tien Nghia (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) shared: “The space here is both solemn and bustling, bringing a very special feeling. I really like the Bai Choi game, it is both fun and meaningful, and helps me understand more about the beauty of folk culture. That makes me love Vietnamese cultural traditions even more.”
Ngu Hanh Son scenic spot is one of the national historical and cultural relics, associated with the spiritual, cultural and historical values of the nation.
In addition, the tug of war competition and the art photo exhibition “Quan Am - Festival Season” were also important highlights, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate. The works displayed in the exhibition vividly depicted the spiritual and cultural beauty of the festival and the land of Ngu Hanh Son.
With profound cultural and spiritual values and a series of unique activities, the Quan The Am Ngu Hanh Son Festival 2025 continues to affirm the attraction of a major cultural and religious event, contributing to promoting the image of Da Nang to domestic and international friends.
