The People's Committee of Da Nang City recently issued Decision No. 2017/QD-UBND approving the receipt of more than 4.1 billion VND from the SEEDS Scholarship project to support education and develop skills for 196 excellent students with difficult circumstances in the city, sponsored by the Pacific Links Foundation.
The SEEDS Education and Skills Development Scholarship Project sponsored by the Pacific Links Foundation for students in Da Nang City will be implemented from September 2024 to September 2026, with a total capital of more than VND 4.1 billion. Of which, the aid budget is more than VND 3.8 billion.

Specifically, 196 excellent students with difficult circumstances in Da Nang city (36 junior high school students, 124 high school students, 36 university students) were supported with SEEDS Education and Skills Development Scholarship to reduce the risk of dropping out of school and improve the quality of learning.
In addition, the project also supports tuition fees for excellent and outstanding students participating in the project to study a 2-month summer English course at prestigious English centers in Da Nang to help them improve their English and increase their confidence. At the same time, the project organizes a summer camp to guide the future for some excellent and outstanding students and guides them on life skills, self-study English skills online, and communicates to the students participating in the project.
It is known that last school year, 2,300 students were supported by SEEDS; more than 80% of students achieved good and excellent results, 3 students won national prizes, more than 100 students won provincial prizes, 37 students passed the entrance exam to specialized high schools, 4 students received 4-year full scholarships from Fulbright University Vietnam and FPT University.
Nearly 50 students have also been admitted to top universities in Vietnam and continue to receive SEEDS scholarships for nearly 20,000 hours of online English self-study, 1,000 students have participated in online summer camps for career orientation, skill development and support for more than 1,000 families in the program heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and floods.
