Sources from South Korea said that Samsung could launch a smartphone with a triple-folding screen in 2025, but the specific time is not clear. The launch time also depends on the company's foldable device division - Mobile eXperience.
It is known that Samsung has not announced the product yet because it wants to focus on the goal of reducing the thinness and lightness of the current foldable smartphone.
Sources revealed that Samsung's OLED screen orders have decreased by 10% compared to the plan due to reduced user demand. The total number of panels for foldable smartphones is 12 million (down nearly 40% compared to last year).
Many analysts predict that Samsung could boost sales by launching a cheaper foldable phone. However, a company executive has said that they have no such intention.
Most recently, Chinese phone brand Huawei launched its 3-fold smartphone called Mate XT in mid-September with a selling price of 2,800 USD.
