On September 12, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province issued a document agreeing to the policy of piloting non-subsidized buses to serve tourism in Nha Trang city, at the request of the Department of Transport.
The pilot period is 12 months from the time the car is put into operation, however, the opening date of the first trip has not been announced. This is the first time Nha Trang has offered this experience to tourists, similar to the form being applied in some other tourist cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Da Lat, ...

Previously, Tay Thai Binh Duong Investment and Tourism Joint Stock Company (abbreviated as Tay Thai Binh Duong Company) proposed to open 2 new non-subsidized bus routes to serve tourism development in Nha Trang city, with expected ticket prices ranging from 75,000 VND - 250,000 VND/passenger.
Through the evaluation meeting, the authorities said that it is necessary to base on operating costs and passenger service needs to set appropriate ticket prices, and requested the Western Pacific Company to rebuild a specific plan on ticket prices and ticket sales organization according to the nature of the tourist route.
According to the Department of Transport of Khanh Hoa province, currently in Nha Trang city, there is no bus route dedicated to connecting famous tourist destinations in the city. The inner-city bus routes in Nha Trang only operate the last trip at 6:00 p.m., there are no bus routes dedicated to serving passengers at night. Meanwhile, the bus routes take passengers through most of the famous tourist destinations in Nha Trang city; the departure points and stops on the route mainly take advantage of available bus stops. The vehicles put into use are also small buses, easy to operate compared to the current situation of narrow, often congested roads in Nha Trang.
Therefore, opening new bus routes to connect tourist attractions in Nha Trang city is in line with the policy of developing diverse tourism products, products serving the development of the night-time economy as well as to increase the rate of public passenger transport, helping to complete the goals set by the province for socio-economic development.
Currently, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department of Transport to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to survey, evaluate and announce the opening of routes to select transport units to operate the routes in accordance with regulations; preside over the synthesis of pilot results of bus routes and report, advise on related issues after the pilot period,... At the same time, note that the means of transport must ensure the requirements for environmental technical organization according to regulations; investors must commit to converting means of transport according to the roadmap for implementing the province's Green Economy Project.
