(Fatherland) - The first charter flight will be numbered ZF2577 from Irkutsk, Russia, scheduled to land at Cam Ranh airport, Khanh Hoa on March 17 with 238 passengers.
On March 4, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tan, General Director of Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Company Limited, said that Anex Vietnam will cooperate with Russian airlines to operate charter flights to bring tourists from this country to Khanh Hoa.
Specifically, charter flights are operated by Azur Air LLC, using a modern Boeing fleet, connecting 11 Russian cities (including: Moscow, Barnaul, Tomsk, Ekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Novokuzetsk, Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk, Blagoveshchensk, Vladivostok, Irkutsk) with Khanh Hoa.
The number of passengers on board is expected to range from 238 to more than 530 passengers per flight. The frequency of operations in March 2025 is 12 flights. From April to June 2025, there will be about 50-55 flights/month and from July 2025 onwards, there will be 90-100 flights/month.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tan also informed that Anex Vietnam is working with 3-5 star accommodation establishments in Khanh Hoa, fully meeting the conditions for tourism accommodation business recognized by the authorities. At the same time, Anex Vietnam will also set up hotlines to support tourists, service providers and local authorities.
"This is an important milestone marking the strong return of the Russian tourism market in Vietnam, while contributing to promoting the recovery and development of the international tourism industry in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa," Mr. Nguyen Duc Tan emphasized.
Mr. Cung Quynh Anh, Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, also informed that this March, the province's working delegation will visit and work in Russia in two cities, Moscow and Saint-Petersburg. In particular, in Moscow, the province will organize a conference to promote tourism in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.
This is an opportunity for Khanh Hoa tourism to promote and introduce outstanding tourism products and services to Russian travel companies, restoring and expanding the Russian tourist market after the recent difficult period.
According to statistics, in 2024, Khanh Hoa welcomed more than 105,500 Russian visitors, equal to 22.8% compared to 2019 - the peak period when 463,000 Russian visitors came to this province, accounting for over 71% of the total number of Russian visitors to Vietnam in the year (646,524 visitors).
Russia is a traditional international tourist market of Khanh Hoa. However, due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, direct flights from Russia to Khanh Hoa have been suspended since March 2022. Accordingly, Russians who want to travel to Khanh Hoa must transit through a number of countries such as Kazakhstan, China, etc.
