NDO - According to the People's Committee of Bac Kan province, from April 10 to 30, the province will organize the Bac Kan Culture-Tourism Week 2025 in conjunction with the 125th anniversary of the founding of Bac Kan province (April 11, 1900 - April 11, 2025).
During this Culture-Tourism Week, in addition to the traditional activities of previous events, Bac Kan province will carry out many more unique and meaningful activities to celebrate the province's founding anniversary.
Accordingly, the opening ceremony of the Culture-Tourism Week is scheduled to take place on the evening of April 25 with the theme "Song Cau - Where the source converges" at the floating stage on Song Cau (Bac Kan city).
Many unique cultural and artistic activities will be held, such as: Performance of intangible cultural heritage of ethnic groups in the Cau River basin; Canarval street performance festival; mountain bike race at Ba Be National Park; Open Pickleball Championship taking place in Bac Kan city and Ba Be National Park.
On this occasion, Bac Kan province organizes sightseeing and tourism experience routes, including: Song Cau walking street and Nam Cat lake (Bac Kan city); Yen Lac ancient town associated with Xuan Duong love market (Na Ri district); visiting Phieng Phang bamboo forest associated with Ba Be fragrant green pumpkin festival; experiencing Con Poong tourist site and Cho Don safety area; experiencing Mong ethnic culture at Mu La tourist site (Pac Nam district).
In addition, the province also organized a Specialty Fair of the Song Cau Basin with 20 booths introducing cuisine from provinces in the Song Cau Basin and 120 booths introducing OCOP products at the Song Cau walking street and the square of the Bac Kan Provincial Cultural House.
To celebrate the 125th anniversary of the province's founding, Bac Kan will organize an incense offering ceremony to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs; meet with veteran revolutionaries, former provincial leaders, and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; and exhibit photos on economic and social achievements...
To prepare for the upcoming series of events, Bac Kan province has completed the Provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee and approved a draft plan for organizing activities.
According to the Standing Vice Chairman of the Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee Dinh Quang Tuyen, the province has directed the review and completion of work contents and tasks according to the plan. The Tourism Development Steering Committee also proactively forecasts arising problems to promptly have plans to handle incidents if any. The province also requires promoting propaganda and promotion of the series of events and tourism potential.
It is known that the Culture-Tourism Week is an annual event of Bac Kan province, held in April every year to promote, boost development, and turn tourism into a spearhead economy according to the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress.
The 2024 Culture-Tourism Week was organized by the province with many innovations and highlights, especially the bowl dance performance with 1,000 extras that left a big impression on tourists.
