Although she was busy preparing for the televised final match of the Road to Olympia, Ms. Tran Thi Le Thuy, Principal of Le Hong Phong High School, still could not hide her emotions when her student was about to enter the race for the laurel wreath.
“Being present at the final match of the year, Kien is not only an honor for the school but also a source of pride for the students of the province. Over the past 10 months, witnessing Kien’s tireless practice and training to prepare for the final match, I believe Kien will fight with all his might and create a miracle,” Ms. Thuy shared.
To best prepare Kien, Ms. Thuy said that the school has been working on all the work for the past several months. The school has established an advisory board with excellent teachers to help Kien improve his knowledge and practice his reflexes. Every week, Kien spends time practicing his typing skills, mouse clicking, quick reflexes in the obstacle course, acceleration, and quick question reading skills in the warm-up round.
In addition, the school also organized an art troupe that has been actively practicing over the past few weeks to perform and cheer Kien on a live television broadcast at Nghinh Phong Tower Square on the morning of October 13.
Nghinh Phong Tower Square, where the Phu Yen province live television bridge will be held on October 13.
“1,740 students of the school will be transported by 39 shuttle buses to the live television broadcast point at Nghinh Phong Tower to cheer for Kien. The whole school is working hard to prepare for this event. We teachers and students feel joy and pride when the television broadcast is brought to Phu Yen for the first time,” said Ms. Thuy.
Expecting a “double” victory from the champion
Having come second twice in the weekly and monthly competitions, Kien once shared that he was quite disappointed and felt a bit lost. However, challenges forge his character, and entering the first quarter competition, Kien became more calm and experienced in combat.
Kien once shared that his idol is Argentine football player Messi. Messi's journey to consecutively winning the Copa America 2021 and World Cup 2022 after consecutive failures is an inspiring story that helps Kien determined to win the first quarter competition and further the year's final. Kien hopes that he can also complete the "double" of victories in his journey to conquer the Olympia peak.
Preparing himself mentally for the final match, Kien shared that he is quite confident going into the final match. “I believe that Phu Yen will be the most brilliant destination of the year’s final match, a source of pride and motivation for me to fight and bring victory to my home province,” Kien said.
Mr. Tran Khac Le, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Yen, said: “By participating in the final match of the year and bringing the first television bridge to Phu Yen, Trung Kien has been the pride and honor of the province's education system. Entering the final match, I hope Kien will be 'brave, confident, victorious' and bring the highest achievement to Phu Yen".
