On the afternoon of March 29 in Hanoi, designer Thoa Tran introduced to the public the "Return to the Roots" ao dai collection. This is an ao dai collection inspired by relics from the Hung Kings' era, a noble symbol of Vietnamese history and culture, with the advice of Professor and historian Le Van Lan.

Not just a fashion collection, "Back to the Roots" also shows deep gratitude for the merits of the kings who built the country and preserved Vietnamese cultural identity.

According to designer Thoa Tran, each ao dai in the collection "Returning to the origin" carries within it a story, a spirit, and a part of the nation's history, so the details and patterns shown on the costumes are very diverse.

In particular, the collection combines tradition and modernity, aiming to convey and spread the spirit of pride in the nation's origins and cultural heritage, gradually connecting the younger generation with the past and preserving traditional cultural values.

“Every year, near the Hung Kings' death anniversary, I always launch collections related to the Hung Kings' reign and the legend of the dragon and fairy's descendants. This year, I designed this collection, inspired by the miniature overview of Hung Temple, I want to promote all the majestic beauty of my homeland as well as my roots. Preparing for the Hung Kings' death anniversary, I also want to send a profound message to all Vietnamese people living in all parts of the country, overseas Vietnamese, let's turn to our roots, turn to the Hung Kings' death anniversary on March 10, and join hands to preserve Vietnamese cultural heritage", said designer Thoa Tran.

Highly appreciating the details of the landscape and the use of color gamut of the collection, Professor, historian Le Van Lan, Vice Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site, said: “We have a collection that fully represents the landscape, typical of the country's origins like this, first of all, the shape is created with excellent creativity to create fairy wings that expand the performance space, the Ao Dai chooses the main color of yellow, which is in the five colors, reflecting the five elements, as the background to show that this is the center, this is the land of origin. On that background, the highlights of the landscape, the creativity, the construction make up the special national relic site of Hung Temple”.

The Ao Dai collection "Returning to the Roots" is a symbol of honoring and preserving the cultural heritage of the Vietnamese people, expressing deep gratitude for the merits of the kings who founded the country. In order to introduce the "Returning to the Roots" collection to the public, in the art program within the framework of the Hung King's death anniversary taking place on the 6th day of the 3rd lunar month, 20 Ao Dai works in this collection will be performed at the Hung Temple Historical Site, Phu Tho Province.
