The series consists of 37 episodes, each lasting 20 minutes, not only telling about the roads, skyscrapers or modern urban areas, but more importantly, the story of the people of Ho Chi Minh City - those who have turned this city into a symbol of resilience, creativity and constant progress.
Over the past 50 years, Ho Chi Minh City has continuously transformed itself, from 1975 to the period of opening up and developing the economy. Today, the city has become the economic locomotive of the country, with impressive GDP growth, good quality of life, civilized, modern, and affectionate.

Based on the idea of General Director of Ho Chi Minh City Television Cao Anh Minh, who is also the director of this film project, TFS Film Studio started working with a team of 5-6 film crews working together... Each crew is responsible for 1-2 contents in each stage to keep up with the progress.
The film is not only a historical film but also a tribute to those who lived, worked and contributed to building the city from the most difficult days, and to the young people today who continue to write the dream of a Ho Chi Minh City that is constantly moving and reaching far.
The documentary series Overcoming Waves airs on HTV9 at 7:35 a.m. every day from March 25 to April 30; rebroadcast on HTV and TFS digital platforms.
